Question: I have some old tunnels 1.5 stories beneath my basement that used to be used for beer storage and aging (my property was owned by people who owned an adjacent brewery). Can I just put these coils down in the concrete tunnels? They are quite large, large enough to drive a mini-van through, or would I have to break the concrete and actually cover the coils with soil? I also have an old well that has been sealed up. Same question, could I just use that well and save myself the effort of drilling new holes?

    Good energy saving system

I understand the principles of this system, but I am asking myself why is well water always cold, you would think if the earth 🌏 is warmer the deeper you go, then Well water would be warm.
Does anyone know why water 💦 stays cold, but this geothermal system can heat a house 🏡 at the same depth?
