Unfortunately the USA does not prioritize or even really address PREVENTATIVE medicine (including proper diet and exercise). If you could somehow accentuate these aspects of health I would be very grateful. I wish to do all I can to preserve my vision.

I was diagnosed with glaucoma at a Hight St optician who informed my GP and I was referred to Moorfields Hospital for treatment - i'm in London, UK. I opted for laser treatment and has had it twice over the last ten years. Now Moorfields gives me annual check ups tracking the pressure. I think i can get lasered again if the pressure build up again. Good video, informative.

Thanks for this. I started noticing pressure behind my left eye, and headaches. I had Cataract Surgery in April '21, then after I was fine. Went back for my yearly check-up, and found out I'm having the beginning stages of Glaucoma. I'm 61-year-old and have No Desire of being blind! Surgery is set for July 18th (left eye), then my right eye. I wear Bifocals right now. I did see a little fog spots, but didn't put it to glaucoma. Thanks for this video!

I wasn’t advised that I have it but read it in my chart my eye doctor just said he needs to keep watch on the spot in my eye. I was very angry to read this in my chart and wasn’t verbally told by him and was offered no resolution to the problem.

Thank u eye Doctor for the explaining about glaucoma, and the two types. My father had glaucoma, and my mom had Katara.
It never blinded him, but his vision got dim. He passed away at 82yrs.
My sister, and myself when for eyes testing, and the Doctor said we both hv glaucoma.

You should make an appointment with your optometrist. Just like seeing 'sleepers/floaters' they can be something you wouldn't want.
