Had the pleasure of meeting this man in a record store in the LES some years before the pandemic.I'm on the floor digging through the discount bins. He sets up on the other side of the aisle like it was nothing. Blew my mind. Our paths would cross again at the same store some months later. Built up the courage to introduce myself. Super cool, humble...encouraging. He's a major influence on me. Much respect to Extra P, your producer's favorite producer.

“I went to hell for snuffin’ Jesus” bar is more relevant now than it was then. This interview with the Large Professor just took me back . I remember all of this. I’m looking at the front door was so iconic that I’m listening to this and nostalgia happened. Music isn’t the same nowadays. 💯 oh yeah new sub

Listen, Large Professor (X-P) is a legendary B-Boy, MC and producer. Toure could have dug deeper into his discography to identify more substantive material then LP’s work with Nas.

This is a great interview and it is great seeing more Hip Hop artists interviewed. The music is present and it also is in a way like a history book, so to see artists and the depth of the interview is very dope; it goes beyond insight. The human and spirit behind all of their creativity; however, it is very interesting to see the interviewers perspective and back handed opinion on how a creative uses their art to create their income. It is like the interview took a turn - the energy changed. It almost sounded insulting towards the end. IDK, to hear another man question their personal source of income is interesting. The true riches are the artists ability to create. You are not the big property, or the luxurious home that money buys. If you take that away then what are you? The cars, property are not you - then what are you? Very interesting end to interview. I put the thumbs down because of how the interview ended.
