구 998 지방도, 오프로드 임도 주행 (산사태 위험구간, Sportage Solo Off-roading on dangerous old Highway No.998)

옛 998번 지방도의 봉화에서 영월로 넘어가던 산길.
수십년전 지역간 간선도로로 이용되던 우구치리 임도를 스포티지로 올라가봤습니다.
1960년대 이전 급경사지를 깍아 만든 좁은 산길이라서 낙석 산사태 위험 구간이 매우 많습니다.
1차 목표지점인 노른가리재까지 1.1km 정도를 앞두고 안전상 차를 돌렸습니다.
고도 80m를 더 올라가야하는 상황에서 도로의 위치가 북사면으로 바뀌어 눈이 전혀 녹지를 않았습니다. 전방의 적설 상황, 낭떠러지라는 지형적 상황을 고려하여 안전상 회차를 결정합니다.
영상에서 노면이 가장 거친 구간은 8:30부터 19:12 까지 500m 구입니다.

A mountain road that connected Bonghwa and Yeongwol on old highway No. 998.
I drove the Sportage up this road, which was used as an inter-regional main road decades ago.
Because this road was built before the 1960s, there are many cliff sections.
For safety reasons, I turned the car around 1.1km before reaching Norungarijae, the first arrival point.
In a situation where we had to climb an additional 80 meters in altitude, the location of the road changed to the northern slope and the snow did not melt at all.
I wanted to step on the accelerator and hit hard, but it was dangerous due to the snow and cliffs ahead.
This was off-roading alone, so I decided to turn the car back for safety reasons.
