- With questions swirling about his future in Calgary and after two underwhelming regular seasons, Johnny Gaudreau sets career highs in goals, assists, points and +/- en route to 115 points in 82 games. He tied for second in the league in points and was third in the league in assists, putting him directly in the conversation for the Hart Trophy. His 90 even-strength points were the most in the NHL in a single season since 1996.

RIP Johnny, this was the best season he ever had. I wished he had more seasons like this in CBJ. Rest In Piece Johnny and Matthew.
Gonna be a long time till we ever see a 4th round 5’8 150 pound player score 115 in the show. Absolute legend, was the reason I started watching hockey again being from Calgary. RIP ❤
Gaudreau in my mind won the mvp even though he wasn’t a finalist his season was so dominant in the +\- and even strength points
Best playmaker in the league
RIP Johnny, what a loss for all those who knew you. All the wishes and hopes for your family in this time. The hockey world will mourn you for a long time to come
Gaudreau is perfect example that small players can be dominant, 5’9 165lbs
And now he's gone... Thank You for everything John. We love you. ❤️🔥
So glad for his sake he got out of Calgary.
@@garettryan8306 me too. We got his best years now he’ll decline
His points even strength are the best in the league by far. That’s how you know a true mvp.
60 goals in 72 games is HARD TO BEAT
I remember everybody talking about how amazing McDavid is because of how many even strength points he had a few years ago. Gaudreau beats his totals and he doesn't even finish top 3 for the Hart or Ted Lindsay. Also Matthews winning the Hart really didn't sit right with me. We already had a similar situation in 2012 when Stamkos hit 60 but Malkin was (rightfully, imo) given the Hart and Ted Lindsay for outscoring him.
enough to make a flames fan cry
Seriously lol :(, We probably don't win a cup (or maybe?), but we would've been fighting at the top of the division with Vegas and Edmonton, and probably could've won a third division title, if we kept Johnny and Tkachuk. Competitive hockey instead of this mediocrity we've been watching for the last 30+ years.
Enough to make any hockey fan cry now 🙁 Rest In paradise Johnny
Rest In Peace Johnny Hockey 🏒🥅
Welcome to cbus you'll love it

Who else recognizes the Spider-Man music from the 1990s? Someone turned it into orchestral anthem music, pretty rad.
Great vids man
Rest in peace Johnny Hockey🤍🕊️

This season must have shut down Eric Francis!
Flames fans: "Wow, how are we going to replace a 115 point forward? This team is ruined."
(Jonathan Huberdeau has entered the chat)
Philly needs you
boo
Idk if he’ll want to go to a team rebuilding even though he grew up a fan
Edit: with torterella now being the coach that might of hurt those chances.
CBJ😏
Sorry Philly he's ours go cbj
💔
Would've been nice if the homeless who have no money or lucrative contracts or fancy clothing. Got attention like this. I mean we are JUST EQUAL HUMAN BEINGS. This is JUST one man child...
I can’t believe we let him walk. How as a business do you not have this guy on lockdown? If the team stayed together we would’ve won a cup by now.
I love the Flames and Gaudreau was awesome in his time in Calgary. But I'm pretty confident in saying they wouldn't have won a cup if they stayed together. Maybe a round, even 2? But the cup? Not very likely 🫡
