You know what worries me the most about cars like this? The possibility of used syringes being buried amongst that trash (and hidden as a consequence). It’s frightening & a huge risk for you. But I must say, once you’d removed the trash, the car wasn’t in too bad a shape.

True, I would use a claw grabber type tool or shovel to scoop out the top layer of trash so any potential needles are visible.

That is all I can think of when he's doing these jobs. He should use tongs or a run through with a strong magnet.
I've had that experience. Thankfully not getting stabbed, but finding open used needles in a repo just like this. I've found all kinds of scary stuff detailing from loaded guns to meth but the used needles were the scariest

Anybody who litters his/her car like this will likely have some sort of psychological or mental problem.
Sounds mean, but that's actually factual. Lots of people with chronic mental illness will neglect hygiene and cleanliness as they don't feel motivated to deal with it. Still, I've never seen something this bad before.
Yep. My car currently has some of my sons toys, his stroller, some clothes from my trip last month, clothes from the trip this weekend, and some trash and papers I just haven’t cleaned out because my anxiety and depression hits me hard after I leave work.
Yea really that’s how my mama is and it’s soooo embarrassing ever going anywhere with her she piles her junk to the ceiling literally
@Carrie I understand what you’re saying, but... look at it differently. Don’t look at it like a chore, look at it as a way to escape into some good music and do something productive. The end result may have a different effect than you think. I deal with depression, legit best way to make myself feel like I’ve done something productive and it’s also a way to escape life and your thoughts, even if it’s just for a few hours! You got this girl! 👌🏼🥰

I don't know if you know this but just a small tip if you don't. I noticed in some older videos when you would clay bar the car you said it would leave behind some scratches. To avoid causing scratches I would recommend you knead the clay in between each panel on the car you do. Doing this will make sure you don't drag any stuck particles over the paint causing scratches.
Best before and after pictures I have ever seen. Should have been condemned by Center for Disease Control.

I have watched a lot of vehicle detailing videos and I have to say that using compressed air on the electronics, speaker grills, etc. after using the steamer is genius! I always wondered about water getting into those areas. Good job :)

The indetions in the leather seat are compressed foam underneath. If you can apply a long does of steam from the other side from underneath it usually puffs the foam back up
I can't even imagine letting my car get that disgusting. My only infraction is a stray french fry hits the floor from time to time and I pick it up as soon as I see it. I'm always paranoid that I'm going to have to pick someone up unexpectedly and I always want my car to be pristine if I do.

Car with std. i hope you' use a quat disinfectant into the apc cleaning solution.
Quaternary disinfectant will also help with odors of textiles and carpets while they dry.
I use Ecolab MIKRO QUAT diluted (2 oz x gal of water) . It's also a covid disinfectant in just 10 minutes.

People like to trash cars before they get repoed. My husband back in the day long before we met had a car that he shared with his roommate and they kept calling wanting to get the car. So my husband told his roommate to roll all the windows down and leave it. They were about to get a massive storm at the time. soooo, you can imagine what happened to the car....lol
