Technically, he does pay for it, the coin is just hard to see in this quality. George obviously takes it out of his pocket before slamming it down. You can hear the coin hitting the table. And, pay attention to Lou taking the coin off of the table after George takes a swig. It would be bad ass to do that either way;)

I always thought Lou was the fastest Soda-Jerk in the West!!!!!!!! So how did Lou make a Chocolate Milk in 2 seconds when it takes the entire Chocolate Milk Drinking World 5-min. Even if he was using "Instant" Chocolate Milk, it seems like the laws of physics ceased to exist in Lou's Cafe', unless we were led to believe Lou was serving "Magic Choc. Milk", like Mr. Tipton's "Magic Grits" that he got from the guy that sold Jack his Beanstock beans! LoL!!!!! Different movie....... Sorry, but this little detail has bothered me for years. UNLESS, George was such a regular at Lou's Cafe, he had his favorite drink ready & waiting!
