Thank you for your kind words. Have a blessed day. 🙏 🙂
Wow this is so inspiring and beautiful! What talent! 💙
Hi Kamylio 👋 Thanks a lot for your kind words and for your appreciation! Stay tuned for more. 🙂
I really appreciate how you break down the process and even discuss which brushes to use during which part of thw process. Thank you.
Thank you Bryant! I appreciate that very much. 🙏
Beautiful work ❤️ I’ve just subscribed because I think I can learn a lot from you 🥰 I’m just getting into digital painting with Procreate, it’s helping me overcome an acquired brain injury from a major car crash 😊 best wishes from Australia 🇦🇺
Thank you, Julie. Glad to have you here. 🙂 Hoping for your fast recovery. 🙏
@@silvercoloredlens I was injured on Christmas Day 2013, so it’s been a few years now. Art has helped my general mood levels, and my creativity has grown , my cognitive skills have suffered and they will always be lower than par. But I’m still here, and that’s what counts ❤️
@@julz63Thank you for sharing your story. 🙏 Art really does help us in a lot of ways. As for me, it's something that calms my thoughts and focus only on one thing. Even though sometimes I don't like the end result. 😅
Happy to hear that you're okay. We all have to keep moving forward and be a better version of ourselves every single day. Thanks for the inspiration, Julie. 🙂

Thank you kabayan! I appreciate it. 🙏 Definitely more to come. 👌
Stunning paint work! 😲 👍
Thank you! 👊
🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Would it be possible to add step by step process as the changes in the brushes is still very difficult to understand. Also it would help to share the color palette. And goes without saying you are one of the best procreate artists I have seen so far (I have seen and followed many) thanks for sharing your skill.
Thanks for your kind words. It means a lot! 🙏
Here is the link for the Procreate color palette, as requested: silvercoloredlens.gumroad.com/l/ousns
Enjoy! 🙂
@@silvercoloredlens omg thanks for replying and sharing color palette. Can you please also make a video with black and white portrait.
This is really beautiful and helpful thanks for sharing 😊❤
Thank you. I'm glad it gave some value. 🙏🙂
Love the more detailed instruction. Do you have a patreon where you teach?
Thanks for your support! 🙏🙂
Unfortunately, I don't have a Patreon account, but when I have enough subscribers here, I can create a community where I can bring more value to whoever joins in. Though I'm not sure what's the exact subscriber count required for it. 🤔
Great tips. Would love to apply then to my digital paintings.
You have great skills too. Keep inspiring. 👍
@@silvercoloredlens thanks! 🤙
Wow, you are very talented. I loved the video. 😮
Thank you so much for your kind words. 🙏
THANK YOU- I am wandering in the wilderness creating plastic like Barbie skin. I need to bring life-texture, wrinkles, skin creases, bumps, blemishes, vascularity to make my skin appear alive-real and not doll like. This is a start. I am afraid I am still a kid with a crayon.
You're welcome. Keep practicing, and always remember to have fun while doing it. 🙂
This is Amazing. LOVE your talent. How long did it take you to learn how to do this in procreate?
Thank you. It took me a about a couple of days or so to apply what I know and learned from using my wacom tablet + Photoshop methods. The learning curve was mainly on trying to get used to drawing directly on the screen. The layering and the blending was straight forward. 🙂
Do you have a patreon with full tutorials
Not yet as of the moment, but I am looking into it. Surely, I will let you guys know when it's up and running. 😉
wow astig sir, hndi mo ko cnabihan na my premiere ka. galing
Salamat sir. Oks lang no prob. 👌
Filipino ka pla! Nice! Bagong subscriber ako at newbie sa procreate. Salamat sa video
@@SirBenjo Yes sir! Maraming salamat po sa pagsubscribe! More videos to come. 🙏👌
I love your voice🥰😍😘
Apologies for the bad audio quality. I will try and fix it on the next one. I hope the content value of this video was still delivered though. 😅
I have a question, if I may ...
Is tracing a sketch considered cheating? Does it diminish the overall quality "feel" of the final artwork? Only talking about faces. Since my skill ain't good enough yet to simply "copy" a face from the reference free hand (I'm trying to that now more and more to learn), I sometimes trace the outlines and key areas of the reference picture/photo using the 6B pencil. After that, I'm going "solo". IDK how to feel about that ...
There's a lot of artists who will tell you that tracing is cheating. Personally, I consider it as a learning process. You have to get the hang of it and then eventually challenge yourself to break away from tracing and do it from scratch. Just remember, not achieving a perfect resemblance of your reference image is not a failure. It's your rendition of the art itself. 🙂
@@silvercoloredlens Thank you. I also take it as learning process. I've done a few paintings with tracing and without ... I'm still not 100% comfortable, though. I'm gettig there :) ...
Hey
I want to tank you because i’ve learned a lot.
I Also want to know how did you blend and what brushes did you use
My pleasure l, Abdel. I used the airbrush with 30% to 50% opacity to blend the colors. 🙂
Hi , the work is stunning, the details of the portrait is amazing , but , i need to ask is there a full video of this , just to see step by step how you did this . Please if you have let me know , all the best
Hi Greg, thank you for your kind words. Yes, I do have a tutorial video for this one. ruclips.net/video/h9lnZrznsbg/видео.html
Have fun. 🙂
Could you please tell me what song is the one at the end of the video, and the singer? it is so beautiful!
Hey, the song title is "Won't You Save Me" by Loving Caliber
@@silvercoloredlens Thank You so Much !!!! by the way, your art is beyond amazing. Congratulations for such blessed talent. Praise the Lord
Thank you for your kind words. 🙏🙂
Are there any classes that you teach for hyper realistic drawings and paintings with procreate?
Hi John, Thanks for your interest. In the future, I would definitely have something to pass on to the knowledge and teach them all to you. So stay tuned. 🫡🙂
@@silvercoloredlens thanks so much looking forward 💯👍💯
How did this only get 900 views!!
Thanks for the appreciation. 🙏🙂🥰
Hey great work. From where did you get the touch ups brush kit?
Everything is from Procreate default tools and brushes. 🙂
@@silvercoloredlens Oh, I could not find the touchups brush kit in my default procreate library. Can you please help me in figuring this out?
@@auknooramogh4331 If you have the version 5.2.2, the brushes used in 2:32 is already placed inside the "Materials" category. 🙂
@@silvercoloredlens Thanks a ton dude.
@@auknooramogh4331 no problem 👊
what do you do around the wrinkles.. could really use a close up/slow down/dumbed down explanation. anyway, ill give it a shot. thanks!
For the wrinkles, you would need to paint along the creases. For it to pop, you would need to know which areas are high (lighter values) / low (darker values). Imagine it in 3D. You also need to know your light source location. This will help you understand better as it dictates where to put the highlights. Hope that helps. 🙂
@@silvercoloredlens okay okay.. paint around the wrinkles, get in close, can do.. do you go less saturated as you get lighter? I found advice that this would prevent muddyness. Thanks!
@@SuperRockcore yes, you can also do that for this case. If you want, you can practice painting in black and white or in monochrome to have a feel and then transition into using colors once you get the hang of it.
How did you change the tones between warm and cool?
You can use the color wheel for the color selection.
I have a question.
in Procreate
What color settings do you use?
srgb ? p3 ?
What page size are you setting and drawing?
I use the p3 colour profile.
canvas size is at 3200px (width) 4100px (height) for portraits and just switch them for landscape, both at 300 DPI.
@@silvercoloredlens 감사합니다 행복하세요^^*
@@starbucks1971 천만에요👍
So how long it took you in real-time?
It took me around 6 days to complete (4 hours per day). 🙂
@@silvercoloredlens Appreciate your hardwork, can you do soft pastel hyperrealism drawing next? It would be awesome :))
@@MuhammadHaris-hw5xp I haven't tried that before. Do you have any recommendations?
What size Canvas and DPI do you use?
It's at 300 dpi 4100x3200 🙂
please can someone tell me what size px was the canvas he worked on :3

Very helpful but how long does it take you to do an art
Thanks. It can range from 8 to 36 hours, depending on how realistic I want it to be. 🙂
Do you teach drawing online?
Hi there! Currently I don't teach on any other platforms. For now, I only upload free valuable stuff here on this channel. 🙂
what canvas size do you normally use?
I usually use 4100 x 3200 🙂
How is this possible
its a reality bro, its amazing
The parts that would’ve been useful to me or anybody actually trying to paint skin would have been between step 5 and step 6. The steps that goes from crude lines and shading straight to utterly impressive life like detail (sus). So the title of this video is misleading because this doesn’t teach anybody how to make skin lifelike. If someone can share what they learned from this video that brought them closer to achieving the lifelike detail of the final portrait then please share.
Thanks for taking the time to watch the tutorial. 🙂
I know that it may seem difficult at first, but keep in mind that I have been doing the same fundamental process since I was just a child. It takes time and a lot of practice to be good at something. 😉
"There are several ways to bake a good bread, but only the great ones are crazy enough to persistently try and improve the recipe." I think I read that somewhere and it keeps me inspired to do more whenever I can and try to improve little by little.
If you want, I made a timelapse video showing the same basic process:
ruclips.net/video/GdeA6U4ytbk/видео.htmlfeature=shared
Hope this one encourages you more. Keep it up. 🙂
Please stop enticing us with these so-called “tutorials”! They teach nothing. They are just time-lapse videos , with no instructions! Stop!
