I decided at the beginning of 2023 that I would declutter and organize a lot more. It has helped to stop buying unneeded decor. The closet turned out nice and for a great price.

I just refreshed our dining room/school room with new bins. I went to our local new and used store and got old wooden crates and baskets to add to our bookcases to put books in to help organize and add a cute touch to the place. Next room is my bedroom, all my kids' rooms, and our hallway linen closet. :)

I definitely love the bookshelf in the closet. I did that years ago for VHS tapes. (I'm dating myself, lol). That way they weren't taking up space in the living room. It was a very large shelf and we mounted it to the wall. It had a lot of cubbies. I think it used to be in an elementary school. I really miss my kids being little at home. Enjoy the days with them. The days are long, but the years are short. Sigh....

I LOVE this idea. I’ve taken a bedroom and made it a craft room for now. This makes the closet so much more useable for crafts but easy to change back to clothes closet if needed in the future.
