Absolutely brilliant! You always give this feeling like "Well, of course I can do that!" But I just never thought to do it. It sure beats having to "think" in e phrygian sharp 3rd for a whole second and a half! Thanks for all you do Clause! I really appreciate it, Vauntt

I mean in this case is pretty straightforward to use the harmonic minor but in general it's a very nice approach also for way more commplicated stuff

Or, you find that you instinctually did this, but never thought to apply it rather than waiting for it to “happen”. I play by ear so much that sometimes I can “feel” an out of key chord, and generally by the second or third time it comes around I land on some note from that chord, but I never really applied it in a conscious way…. this is a great video, I feel like it turned a crank in my head and a little lightbulb appeared above me… so many ideas!

This is SO critical to develop a “mature” sounding solo, be it improvised or carefully constructed, it sounds more sophisticated. Great lesson!

i don't know why, but I've been sub'd for years and I haven't gotten any of these new videos for a year or two. at least now they're all populating my feed, but they did not show up til a week ago or less. great videos and lessons though.
