  • I decided to upgrade the vice on my Scheppach Portable bandsaw as it was rubbish so I found this video on youtube • Aldi Portable Bandsaw ... credit has to go to the guy who did this before me.
All you need is a couple of bits of metal plates, some M12 threaded rod, M12 Nulock nuts, other M12 nuts, a couple of washers, and a couple of small screws and nuts.
you will need a welder too unless you can figure out how to connect the nuts another way.

Such a good solution to solving the problem about the sh*te vice supplied with this excellent band saw. Whatever possessed them? 🥴🤬

theyve actually changed the vice on the newer ones probably because the older one was shite. dunno how good it is though

@@TotoGuy-Original Thanks for the heads up. I will take a look. Perhaps they sell the vice as a “spare”. If not, I’m going to modify mine like you did. I tried the old vice today and the bar I was cutting worked itself loose. Bloody hopeless 😞🤬

@@andrewdolinskiatcarpathian they don't sell spares I've had an issue with a product before same brand but something else I had to send it back and get it replaced. Having said that you should have 3 year warranty if t hasn't expired so maybe there is a fault with yours wink wink 😉
