I watched one video and was immediately hooked on the channel and the genre of videos. Always was a big fan of horror but the movies are so great lately. But these stories have been the most some chilling I've heard in a long long time
I'm a US Soldier and I've been deployed for 7 months. The loneliness is bad especially seeing your friends and family living their lives on social media. Missing holidays and birthdays. These videos help me get through this time in my life. Love horror movies but good ones dont come by easily. This helps pass the time. Thank you.
I tend to hallucinate at night so bedtime was always interesting as a child. This creepypasta is one of the only two that ever genuinely scared me, I'm so excited you narrated it!
Oh my god I was telling my husband a little while ago that this was the only creepy pasta that ever scared me as a kid and I could never find it after the fact. So happy you’re the one to bring it back to my life I’ll have to play it for him tonight when he gets home
There is an indie game based on this, right? I'm SO certain my first experience of this pasta was in game form. It vividly relays this. I cannot find it.
I had something similar happen to me , I felt something on top of me holding me down. I had the sheets over my head, Then I got up the nerve to pull the sheets off of me,and what was holding me down was gone. Then I turned on my light by the bed ,it flickered and then went off. I got out of that room turned on EVERY LIGHT and watched TV the rest of the night. That was my only super natural experience, and it scared the s**t out of me!!
[Spoiler Warning] This story was absolutely terrifying, and one of my favorites of all time. The plot was coherent, the use of the entity wasn’t overdone, and the ending was handled very well. There is hope for a good ending, but there’s also the lingering chance that the creature is not entirely done with. I thought the scene where the protagonist visited the old house again was very well done, with no overt signals of the spirit, but just enough tip-offs to indicate a looming presence, keenly aware of the protagonist’s return. Everything was masterfully written and paced. For the audio, though, you absolutely KILLED this narration, Somnium. The music, sound effects, and your delivery elevated an already spectacular story into something I’d consider a perfect work in the horror genre. The emotion that you are able to pour into these characters is something that can be matched by no other. In my opinion, this might be one of, if not your best narration yet. You have truly outdone yourself. You and the author of this story have created one of the most chilling and amazing stories I’ve ever listened to. Unbelievable work, and the both of you deserve the highest of praise for dedicating your time into a project on a scale such as this.
Thank you for writing this out. I had to stop 30 minutes in. I could not tell if this was an actual monster or some kind of twisted SA trauma event the kid was remembering. It was flaring my ptsd up bad.
@@sebastiangreen2364 But the watcher warned the protagonist about the entity attacking Mary and never actually did any harm. He was strangled once by something but it didn't say if it was the watcher or the other being AND it mentioned the watcher making noises resembling that of an elder in his grandma's nursing home when it hid behind the curtain. My guess is it was his grandma or grandpa looking out for him.
Ngl I thought the first two parts were extremely well-written but when the narrator started actually seeing the creature they kind of went ham on the adjectives. There were several sentences where two adjectives with essentially the same meaning were used back-to-back and many of them were used repetitively (take a shot every time he says rancid lol). I found it very distracting, towards the end. Overall it was a good story, but I think the author could use some practice in the power of restraint. Lots of potential though!! And as always the narration and sound design was on point.
For those that deal with severe anxiety. This story perfectly represents how we see and suffer from the fear. Anxiety is a monster. Always creeping around the corner.
Yup, you cannot defeat anxiety. It will always be there, no matter what we do. We can only learn to manage it, push past it and try to live a normal life.

i just wanna say that the immersiveness of your stories are what draw me to them. In my culture, they say that you shouldn't leave a space where you sleep at night, cuz someone might come and sleep with you. Get a lot of pillows if you have a big bed and sleep alone, and the same goes for the bunk below in this story. When you take off your flip-flops and climb into bed, the point should be facing away from where you sleep. If you turn them towards your bed, it signifies you're inviting the dead to sleep with you. And omg 5 minutes in I'm already scared. And this story is 1 hour 34 minutes. AWESOME!!

I just started the story, but this one is already extra terrifying since it hits too close to home lmao I'm listening to it while lying down on the top bunk in the room I share with my brother and due to him staying with our mother for the next few days, the bottom bunk is empty. Usually I listen to your videos in the dark for the atmosphere, but this is the exception. Thanks for the quality content as always and happy holidays

The panic and rage I experienced while hearing his girlfriend scream will stay in my mind for a while.......... You never fail to make me feel something with every story, keep up the good work bro.
The first part scared me, as a mama with a little one who wakes up scared almost every night. He sleeps in my bed now every night the other night I asked "you don't like you bed?" He said "yes, its safe here with mama" The other half is absolutely terrifying, amazing story. AMAZING WORK as usual!!
I play your channel on the 'mix' option through the night. So it goes through a continuous list. It helps so much with the tinnitus and how I wake up several times through the night. An advanced, early onset arthritis doesn't let me stay in the same position long. So I do the 'rotisserie chicken' between naps. Having the stories always playing help so much to get back to sleep. Also helps with the nonstop negative thoughts that spin in my head and build anxiety that blocks sleep and dig a deep depression. Consider yourself a part of health & medical care for so many of us. I know I'm not the only one you help and we appreciate you immensely. ❤
I absolutely love your narrations. You are my favorite narrator hands down! Hoping you can get around to narrating my story I sent back in August. I would absolutely love to hear your rendition of it.
Ah yes the best kind of background noise for playing the last of us pt 2... totally normal 🤣. Love your content! Always excited to see when you post a new video.
I remember this story from back in the day. After NoEnd House this is one of the first "very long" Creepypasta's I've read back around 2013 or so. Most of the other "classics" were rather short compared to this one. Still as creepy as ever. Great Narration! =]
ahhh i love your videos so much :)) this one really got to me personally, so it was such a good scare. and with all the effort you put into your narrations, sound affects, music and pacing its just perfection ❤
I wonder how many of us have these stories from bunk beds. Mine was the bottom bunk. An evil face would appear smiling, it was a man, nobody i recognized, with really gross teeth and black eyes and bright little lights as pupils looking down on me from the bunk above me, with a color changing mist behind it that slowly twisted. Every time, i would cover my head with my blanket, but i could still hear the mist twisting, like wind through a cracked window till i finally fell asleep, it never spoke. It only went on for a week, i think. Its been a long time. I was 6, and I've told my family that it happened ever since it started, but nobody believed me. It's never happened since, Yet I can vividly remember it to this day 30 years later.
Because of stories like yours, when you say you told your parents but no one believed you, if I ever hear a story like this from my son, I will cleanse the entire freaking house. But as long as my German Shepard doesn't bark towards seemingly nothing, I think we're fine 😅
I remember listening to this story like 8 years ago. I tried to reach for the author of it because I wanted to make a manga adaptation of it for a contest. It’s nice to listen to this again after so many years.
A classic and a phenomenal one! This was one of the first ones that really unnerved me when I first found Creepypastas years ago. More need to follow the old school formula. Great job reading! Keep up the great work!
I watch every single one of your videos, whether it be for listening to it while cleaning, or in the shower, I listen to them all. It’s not just for the story either, but for the sheer setting you can put into my mind with how you read. This ability of yours I have not been able to match with any other channel. It’s amazing how much you can give a story life with your narrations. I love your videos man and you’re so talented with your work, being able to watch your channel grow gives me so much pleasure as other horror fanatics will be able to enjoy this just as much as I and many others do. This is it. This is the first creepypasta I've ever read. Since then I've gone through some scarier, some not so much. But this one will always have a special place in my heart as being downright eerie and absolutely terrifying. This story does such a great job of painting a picture in my brain noodle that it sparked a horror obsession that is still going strong 11 years later. Thanks for the amazing narration Somnium. Oh my gosh, 10/10 story, I love listening to these right before bed, though my sister thinks I'm crazy because of it, you're an amazing narrator and you create just an amazing ambient vibe. :]
This is a spectacular story, made even more amazing by your talented narration of it. This story divulges memories of our earliest nightmares, and allows for somewhat of a retribution of our darkest fears, the very ones that use to keep us from falling asleep as children. Beautifully written and beautifully told. I can't count on both hands how many times I got chills while listening to this tale.
I heard this story years ago, narrated by MrCreepypasta I think, and it quickly became one of my favorites. Your narration brought new life into the story. You really are the best in your profession. Other people read these stories while you bring them to life. I'm here, bundled up in blankets, in my tent with my little wood stove burning away, its heat protecting my outsides from the bitter cold and my pine tea protecting my insides. The sounds of your narration keep me company. You're helping me through some tough times. Thank you.
Hi. I firstly had contact with this on my language. I must say, nice work. This is one of the better creepypastas I've ever listened too. Tks for this.

Ooooh, this one is a classic! I used to love reading this story back when I was twelve. You cannot imagine my excitement when I heard you narrating it! Great work as always.
Man, this channel is amazing. Hats off to the talented authors that write these amazing stories and to you good sir (and the guest narrators who visit from time to time). Sorry I'm late to the party but damn, your thumbnail art seems so much better than most other narrators as well as the narrations themselves. My man be spoiling his viewers. Keep up the good work, you are my best creepypasta narrator of all time 😊👍
Much appreciated!
You guys are a great combo, both truly master's of your craft. You narrations are so enveloping and your sound effects and music just keep getting better and better. This was truly a pleasure 🙏 FAN FOR LIFE DARK SOMNIUM!
P.S. That thumbnail painted the picture this story told quite perfectly! Kinda just how I pictured it. 🤔
Thanks for the quality content as always and happy holidays
oooo what a coincidence >:D
@@Darksomnium a scary coincidence for sure XD
Are you 100 percent sure the bottom bunk is empty?
I remember listening to this story a long time ago, and being genuinely chilled and hopelessly hooked. I'm so happy to hear you narrate this.
Yes yes yes!! You FINALLY did my FAVORITE creepypasta, ALL parts in ONE video!! Is it my birthday?! I know you know I've been asking for this for YEARS! Since, I THINK, about 2020! Thank you! Thank yoooou!! THANK YOOOOHOOOHOOO!!
You're by far the BEST narrator I've ever heard and I'm not even sure why
Thank you so much :)
He really does make it sound effortless and soothing.
sound design, ive letterally watcht most of his videos for years and its mostly good sound design and a good voice,he makes his own music and the quality shows
The panic and rage I experienced while hearing his girlfriend scream will stay in my mind for a while..........
You never fail to make me feel something with every story, keep up the good work bro.
SAW THE DISCORD ANNOUNCEMENT AND LITERALLY CLOSED MY APP AND WENT STRAIGHT TO RUclips
THIS IS AWESOME BTW!!!!
Holy hell Rom, you deserve an Oscar for that performance
The first part scared me, as a mama with a little one who wakes up scared almost every night. He sleeps in my bed now every night the other night I asked "you don't like you bed?" He said "yes, its safe here with mama"
The other half is absolutely terrifying, amazing story. AMAZING WORK as usual!!
Kids see something we can't
This needs to be made into a movie. A brilliant story! I was supposed to fall asleep to this. I couldn't, it was just too good.
U can never just fall asleep to it
Not everything needs to be a movie!
There is NOTHING better the Michael Whitehouse read by The Dark Sominum!!! Beat Xmas gift ever!! ♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️
michael is awesome :D
You have done it again man👏👏 Thanks for being the best narrator on RUclips and I hope you had a wonderful holiday weekend!
ty i am the same, cried when i saw this reminder that im not alone/ hope ur better ty 4 sharing
I absolutely love your narrations. You are my favorite narrator hands down! Hoping you can get around to narrating my story I sent back in August. I would absolutely love to hear your rendition of it.
What was the name of it? I'll double check my email incase I missed it :)
The story was called "Hope" :) sent on Aug 17
Very well told, articulate, and mercifully free of obscenities!
thank you :)
Ah yes the best kind of background noise for playing the last of us pt 2... totally normal 🤣. Love your content! Always excited to see when you post a new video.
I've been waiting all day to get into bed so I could listen to this.
Thanks for the long video Ronnie 🖤
I remember this story from back in the day. After NoEnd House this is one of the first "very long" Creepypasta's I've read back around 2013 or so. Most of the other "classics" were rather short compared to this one.
Still as creepy as ever. Great Narration! =]
ahhh i love your videos so much :)) this one really got to me personally, so it was such a good scare. and with all the effort you put into your narrations, sound affects, music and pacing its just perfection ❤
I've been waiting on this for awhile. Anything you post is always a good one. Thanks again Brother
thank you so much :)
And l love that you are bringing us classic creepy pasta! Another stellar presentation!! Thank you so much!! And I hope you had a Merry Christmas!!
50:32 THE WAY MY JAW DROPPED
The delivery was IMPECCABLE
I remember listening to this story like 8 years ago. I tried to reach for the author of it because I wanted to make a manga adaptation of it for a contest. It’s nice to listen to this again after so many years.
Did you get in touch with the author? Manga adaption sounds great!
A classic and a phenomenal one! This was one of the first ones that really unnerved me when I first found Creepypastas years ago. More need to follow the old school formula. Great job reading! Keep up the great work!
Merry Christmas bro hope it went well for u. U deserve it bringing us these stories
it did! i Rom made me a scarf :D thank you so much. how was your christmas?
I watch every single one of your videos, whether it be for listening to it while cleaning, or in the shower, I listen to them all. It’s not just for the story either, but for the sheer setting you can put into my mind with how you read. This ability of yours I have not been able to match with any other channel. It’s amazing how much you can give a story life with your narrations. I love your videos man and you’re so talented with your work, being able to watch your channel grow gives me so much pleasure as other horror fanatics will be able to enjoy this just as much as I and many others do. I’ll always be looking for more to come and I hope your day/night is well!
I have never been this early before. I am really excited to hear this story. I have never heard it. You make my day at work go by so much faster.
im so glad you could make it! :) I hope you like it! and i hope you have a good day!
Now THIS is the quality of story I'm talking about. EVERY. SINGLE. LINE of this masterpiece made my face grimace in anticipation!
Your stories are amazing! Your good voice with the amazing music is awesome!
Thank you so much!
The most hard working narrator on RUclips....Thanks for this upload!😆
thank you! :)
This narration is such a great one because it just awakens a sense of fear in me which makes the story all that much better
I've heard this story before, and i have to say you did it so much better! Love your content man! Please never stop+
THANK YOU!!!!
Fantastic narration Ronnie! As always your hard work is truly amazing and appreciated! Wishing you and RomNex a
Happy Healthy New Year!
💥🥦☃️🪅🍾🥦⛄️💥
This was probably one of the best narrations I've ever heard, another great one my man, keep it up
Thank you :)
Oh man! One of my favorite stories read by my favorite narrator, An amazing way to start the day! Thanks Somnium!
I started to listen to it twice now in the middle of the night. Putting a reminder to listen to it tomorrow at day. I have gotten scared too easily the last few days. But will definitely listen.
But as usual, you are amazing!!
hope you and rom had a good christmas!! best wishes❤❤❤
we did! she made me a scarf haha :)
You absolutely KILLED it
Gotta wait til bedtime to listen but, as always can't wait. The absolute best creepy pasta stories 😱
I hope you enjoy the story when you listen to it :) have a good day!
Time to give this a listen. 👍
1:07:24 That actually frights me more than the other videos i seen in this channel, but overall. Nice narrating on these creepypasta stories
If this was a movie, its definitely gonna be era defining and be best horror movie of the year no doubt, the atmosphere, the feels the vibe is just so eerie its crazy
The acting and directing would need to be top notch. They can't have someone narrating the whole time.
Oh my gosh, 10/10 story, I love listening to these right before bed, though my sister thinks I'm crazy because of it, you're an amazing narrator and you create just an amazing ambient vibe. :]
uploading always at the perfect times bro going to listen to this at work WOOO ! hope u had a great holidays somnium:D
have a good day at work! and i did! i hope you did also :) i got a scarf
This gave me flashbacks as a kids, I would always see shadow figures on my walls at night. This story was great and sent chills down my spine
This one genuinely makes my eyes tear up with fear it just feels relatable
Thank you for these awesome stories they have helped me so much ❤
im so honored to hear they have helped you :) thank you.
Thank you.
Thank you so much :)
Definitely saving this one for bedtime!
I hope you enjoy it when you hear it :)
@@Darksomnium I’m sure I will!
You’ve easily become one of my favorite RUclipsrs, please continue the excellent content
Another 1hour+ banger lets gooooo keep up the good work
Hope you enjoy it!
Hi. I firstly had contact with this on my language. I must say, nice work. This is one of the better creepypastas I've ever listened too. Tks for this.
I love your versions of creepypastas. I love the classic Myuu soundtracks, but eventually they feel "comfortable." Horror shouldn't make me feel "comfortable." Your ambience really adds to the chills I get when listening.
Can you do On a Hill?!?!
You’ve been spoiling us with all these recent uploads! Welcome back, my guy
That was genuinely terrifying!! Great work Ronnie
Glad you enjoyed it
Ooooh, this one is a classic! I used to love reading this story back when I was twelve. You cannot imagine my excitement when I heard you narrating it! Great work as always.
Thank you for always delivering great stories!
This is the second best scary story I’ve ever heard from any scary stories RUclipsr
Can’t wait to listen later. Thanks for the post ❤
I hope you like it!
Man, this channel is amazing. Hats off to the talented authors that write these amazing stories and to you good sir (and the guest narrators who visit from time to time). Sorry I'm late to the party but damn, your thumbnail art seems so much better than most other narrators as well as the narrations themselves. Your music and SFX are absolutely amazing and immerse me completely in the story.
Listening to this right now, I never heard the original but I'm excited anyway
Edit: HOLY CRAP IT'S THIS STORY
I hope you like it! :)
I love the “Remastered” versions of older content!
