I am scared to join clubs since I have been in community college for four years and I am already 21. But I'll try joining at least two this semester.

This is more common than you think! Sometimes, people don't join clubs until they are a few years into college. Others join clubs in their first year and continue to join clubs in years 2, 3, and 4. In both scenarios, someone could be joining a new club at age 21. Being new is intimidating, but take the leap and I bet your worries will subside

There's going to be a first club meeting for computer science this Friday, and I'm too shy to go alone. 😬 But I really want to go.
I'm new in this town, so I have no one to take either.

I can relate to the feeling! It can definitely be intimidating sometimes. I always found that people end up being way nicer than you'd think. Plus, since it's the first meeting, there will likely be a lot of other people in the same boat as you. It isn't as intimidating to go to the first meeting of the semester as it is going to a meeting in the middle of the semester

What about after you already had a job? Should you still join clubs when you have a job or not?

Are you talking about if you are working while attending college? Or are you referring to after graduation?

@@ninjapirate123 I'd say it depends on your goals. If you plan on attending grad school someday, clubs can help build your resume. Others simply like clubs just for the sake of being part of a group or contributing to a good cause.

@@bhill-biznessprofessionals ok cause my parents told me that after people graduated from college and got a job, they got so many things to do in life and worry about too many things so they're no longer interested in clubs. They also told me that school time and during college is the best moment to join a club whereas after graduation and getting a job is not a good time to join clubs anymore
