    • @bhill-biznessprofessionals
      @bhill-biznessprofessionals Месяц назад

      There are two things I did. 1) I would shorten the review session of each lesson by quickly skimming the flashcards for each lesson. This would at least save me some time, while allowing me to still practice spaced repetition. 2) I would change the initial starting date of some lessons (yellow column in spreadsheet) forward a day or two to offload some of the current day's review sessions to tomorrow or the next day. This can help level out the workload. Some days are unfortunately tough, but as you start to rank more lessons 8, 9, and 10, the workload should lighten up.

  • @taniamusa
    @taniamusa Месяц назад

    Hi Brandon, I purchased your excel spreadsheet a few months ago. I started to use it to mostly track the grade and the date of studying the material. It seemed to me like 6 months in was a bit early for the spaced repetition, I preferred to try to pass through the material faster, and maybe start the spaced repetition when I finish my 4th chapter? (I would have about 3-4 months left before exam). What do you think about this strategy? When you did the spaced repetition, did you start by doing your new material of the day and then re-reading your notes? Or you also did the exercises of that review session? thanks!

    • @bhill-biznessprofessionals
      @bhill-biznessprofessionals Месяц назад

      4 months of spaced repetition practice will be enough time. However, I don't see the benefit in using the two months to pass through the material faster, other than simply becoming familiar with the material. If you want to become familiar with the materials, you can take a day and skim all the textbooks. If you are trying to digest and memorize the info, you will need to practice active recall and spaced repetition. As for your last questions, I would start my day on a new section. I would take notes in notion as I read through a new section. Then I'd organize and tidy those notes. Then I'd work on Kaplan's exercise/practice problems. Lastly, I'd add the latest notes to Anki in the form of flashcards

If I may offer some constructive feedback: You use the word "So" almost 40 times, the vast majority of those times it was used to start a sentence..."So what's the key..." "So we can make..." Just start the statement, no need for SO, it's like getting a 9-minute presentation from a teenager. And yes, I DID go back and count. I had 37 but feel free to correct me if I'm wrong.
