    One of my favourite dog walks in the summer. The lay-by floods in winter!

      @twistagain1964 Hi Richard, and thank you.
      Your comment is very much appreciated.
      It was my first time on that walk, and I really enjoyed it.
      I can imagine that lay-by flooding 😳
      Thank you for watching the video.

    Lovely walk Kevin and Sue. How special to be able to visit somewhere that your dads and grandad went to as children 😊 Fig was the star though! 🥰

      @cynthiascamera7872 Thank you, Cynthia 😊.
      The walk was really lovely and so glad Sue mentioned it to me.
      As you say to be able to go to where are family attend was very special.
      Sadly tinged in the knowledge that an 11 year old boy (our Uncle Ronald) had his funeral there.
      But a special day.
      Fig always outshines everyone.

    Oh I love walking in the footsteps of my ancestors Kevin and Sue, there's something special about that. What a beautiful chapel; imagine living there, so nice. Was good of Helen to let you have a look around inside and get the feel of what it was like. Oh and yes! that would have been Ky for sure, down that bank and out all soaked 😄🐕 What a cutie you are Fig 💕
    Thank you for sharing your lovely walk together 🥰

      @LynnB_Ky Thank you so much, Lynn 💓.
      The walk was really great, but I was constantly thinking, would we be able to view the chapel.
      Helen was so kind to let us go into the chapel that was special indeed.
      We were very lucky.
      Ky certainly loves his mud and water 😊

      @andrewnorris2 Thank you, Andrew 😊.
      Sue is not good with a camera on her.
      I am heading back up tomorrow, 21st October, Sue has half a dozen ideas for videos, a few quite short, so I'm looking forward to that.
      Fig is a lovely little dog 🐕

    Right in my area this Kevin. I know you said you had family from. The area in the past but I didn’t know they were so close. I know this place and the chapel. You can find a picture of it back in the day on Hucknall Torkard History site. I live around 4 miles away and wife works very very local to it! I have done a few walks in the area myself. The other side is worth a walk all the way from St James church to newstead abbey

      @RaymondoLeeTravel Thank you very much 😊.
      It's a lovely area, especially for walking.
      I am pretty sure we have walked the other side but have not done a video. That is for the future, perhaps next year.
      It's good to hear from you 😊

      It's a lovely walk. Yesterday, we did the other side of the walk heading to a very special church.
      The video won't be out until early next year, sadly due to scheduling.
      Thanks for dropping in.

    Old chapels lend themselves rather well to become residential homes. There is one not too far from me. Looks almost the same from the outside.

      Yes, I guess turning them into residential properties is better than letting them be knocked down.

    A pleasant trail Kevin, with a good pathway. How nice that you can find a place where your relatives went to Sunday school. Greetings from Oz.🦘

      It was a really lovely walk, and as you say, to be able to go to a place, i.e., the chapel that our fathers and grandparents plus possibly other relatives was amazing.
