In my opinion some of the LC stuff like magazine pouches and canteen covers ,are more practical if your going to be using it for SHTF or bug out equipment (and not reenactments). Reason being the nylon material holds up better in rainy and snowy conditions compared to the canvas material. Even if you have the money, why tair up expensive original equipment(again if you're going to be using it for SHTF/hunting scenario) when most army surpluses carry the LC-# ammo pouches and canteen covers, even with today inflation ,for a reasonable price and typically will be lightly used or practically unissued condition. And in my opinion I like the LC-# ammo pouches and canteen covers because the drain holes allow for water to exit your equipment, and nylon material allows for faster drying.
What's the biggest differences between the web gear suspenders? I have a few that are definitely old but they have no identification left on them . Would the hooks at the ends be a telling sign?
Would it still be ok to at least have one nylon canteen pouch Because I also have the original water purification tablets with it and I was wondering that part

I was going for a Korean War impression, bought a lot of m56 stuff before I looked up what year m56 was put into service

Also the m67 30rd magazine pouch or usmc LINCLOE version both dont have the plastic reinforcement on the metal clip. Great vid keep up the realism!

No, no matter what, you should never use ALICE canteen covers
