I agree with Boras on one point: fans do love super teams. You either love or hate them, there isn't much gray. And that generates interest. Other than that, I don't particularly like Boras and his tactics.
Super teams in baseball is fun bc it's pitcher vs hitter dynamic. It's not as fun watching NBA or NFL bc there's so much going on at 1 time. You don't really see key match ups
When Boras said Soto is in the process of eliminating teams from consideration, I'm shocked no one asked the obvious question of whether the Dodgers are still under consideration. It's like all the reporters assumed he wouldn't answer the question.
I predict the following contract offer from the Dodgers. 15 years 650 million Year 1/75 million Year 2/75 million Year 3/75 million Opt out Year 4/75 million Opt out Year 5/75 million Last opt out Year 6-15 27.5 million per year Teams like the Yankees and Mets would be far less likely to offer these opt outs because they don’t want to have to deal with the possibility of losing him every off-season for three years. But the Dodgers would be fine with him opting out as long as they get three really good years from him
Bring Soto home Friedman!! Don’t listen to silly fans saying we don’t need him despite our current outfield as it stands today being Taylor, Outman, Pages!! He’s younger, and 200 times better than Teoscar. Better investment. Outfield is our only hole in the roster. Use that dough to fix that up
@@michaelsmith5801That would be great. But I think if they sign Soto that eliminates Teo from coming back. I love Teoscar and he is a great fall back option if they can’t get Soto, but if a guy like Soto wants to come you got no option but to get him
Can't tell you how many times I was frustrated with amount of chases and strikeouts Teo had last season. Also we will have a generational hitter around for Yoshi so he sticks around instead of opting out
all owners out there should boycott that overrated soto!! guy hits 10 -15 bombs a season and the rest barely clears.... AND majority of his hits are softly hit due to his cheesy ugly soto shuffle stance.. which he constantly steps in the bucket .... ABSOLUTE TRUTH..... and all for what? because he looks cool and his name sounds cool? an ignorant mass and the rich owners in particular!
Why are reporters so obsessed with deferrals? They act like the Dodgers are the only team who could do this.
Every team could do this but most owners would rather keep the money in their pockets and collect the TV rights fees ($100 million per team)
Not just reporters....but Fans of other teams. It just comes down to the jealousy of not getting Ohtani.
Deferrals are common with highly paid people who are not athletes as well. NQDC.
That’s the narrative lmao
That’s the new word. So everyone is using it
1:19 DMac sighting 😂🙌🏻
Who that
@@lacosa24xif you don’t know who DMac is you’re not a dodgers fan

@ dodgernation
@@lacosa24x Then you're obviously not a Dodgers fan because you'd know it's Dodgers Nation, not Dodger Nation.
He ain't wrong-. Goliaths and villains are good for generating interest. I, for one, embrace being the empire.
"EMBRACE THE EMPIRE!!!" Love it!!!

Soto Is Not Worth Othani Money !! I Hope The Dodgers Pass On Him ! Not Worth It !!! 🧢💙
Soto 25.. ohtani was 30 when signed
I AGREE 100% OHTANI IS IN A LEAGUE OF HIS OWN!! .....SOTO IS ABSOLUTELY NOT AS GOOD..... SOTO HAS TRASH DEFENSE
I hope Blake is the only Boras client arriving to the Dodgers this season

Boras ain’t going to wait 10 years for his piece of the pie!
Snake
Man he talks in circles sometimes... round and round and then $$
This guy is singlehandedly destroying the game of baseball. Wait until the next CBA negotiations.
Juan Soto is an easy contract for Dodgers. Wild guess: 2M for 15 years and 670M deferral after 2040. The contract totals 700M.
Actually seems like a kool guy

Year 1/75 million
Year 2/75 million
Year 3/75 million

We can actually sign them bout, it doesn't have to be either soto or teo. But plan A should definitely be soto, plan B should be teo and adames.

Dodgers don’t need a disruptive player like Soto. I’ll pass
“Disruptive?” How? No one has ever said that about him before 😂😂
Disruptive? Where TF did that come from? I never heard any team or player say that he was disruptive lol.
How is Juan Soto disruptive?
Where's the evidence that he's disruptive? Irresponsible comment.
