Not all the toilets have the wide gap under the rim to fit the freshener as shown in this video. The plastic hook has to be much slimmer or a different configuration entirely. It obviously wasn’t designed for this purpose. So all the people were doing it the right way! Good creativity though.
Whoever reads the packaging has a clear advantage. you hang it and don't clamp it underneath. looks better but is unhygienic 😊

No matter the method you wash your hands after handling detergents.
Please don't do this! If it was meant to be used in this way the packaging would show that. You will end up losing it down the toilet and potentially blocking your toilet or drains.

Have to point out that some toilets don't have the slot to put in.
This is so stupid. Why you should even do that? It's more complicated to remove it later, it can accidentally fall down and the position makes absolutely no difference.

same, recently went out on my own, bought the shampoo bottle with the pump, it was "stuck" tried yanking on it, pulling on it, opening the bottle up but didn't know how get it working, went on youtbe found out how to release the pump hahahah
Fatal mistake, it is placed inside the siphon (the place where the water is filled) and the water tube is in its direction. When I pulled the siphon, soapy foam with perfumed water would come out.
No, in the siphon it would be always inside water and thus it would melt in no time …

The right way can be a bit dangerous. I know a person who did it, and then the block fell into the bowl, got washed deeper into the tube, and got stuck there. They had to call a plumber.

Mine is the same too. I stopped using these types of freshener as they block the toilet when they fell in and also, I think they are dirty and not hygienic at all. I prefer the Duck discs.

Maybe you can tie it with a rope and tape the other end of the rope at the back of the toilet

Here in Australia there is no hidden rim to secure the plastic hanger! But then again the carton says made in Poland 😂 We have the silicone stick on gels that dissolve over time. But it's the bog for God's sake! Profit maker! The good old manual brush and bleach cos the moderns don't quite cut it😁!
