LaGrange ZZTopp
Two words, one p. ZZ Top.
american woman was orig. by Guess Who ; thanks
Thank you for that!!! Should have used Randy Bachman’s intro.
Burton cummings
American Woman was the Guess Who and Whiskey in the Jar was Thin Lizzy. You used the remakes on both.
Whiskey In The Jar is an Irish folk song of which both Thin Lizzy and Metallica have done covers.
And they sound different. So different artist.
@@schweckles1142to be fair, Thin Lizzy is a cover too. Like 10 recordings prior. Thin Lizzy is the best though
These were my ½ points as i knew the song but not the artiste.
Hard to handle is a cover as well. It’s an Otis Redding song from the 60s.
Loved this quiz! Though had no idea the start of Pretty Fly For a White Guy was 'borrowed'. Also, LaGrange by ZZ Top
Excellent Quiz. Missed like 5. ZZ Top La Grange as the bonus.
This quiz made me realize that Rock is not my favorite genre. It was so much fun but only got about 12 correct 😩
I knew all the good songs and a few of the ones that suck
Lol I was thinking the same thing.
same boat here! I hate the seattle sound! they all suck! damn near killer rock n roll!
22/35, But I had to asmit with Def Leppard... at first I thought it was The Offspring
The same happened to me!
I waited to be sure. Once the drums are there, there's no doubt.
Ya, gotta wait for Pick to hit the skins.
Never thought of Roxette as a rock band... Rocksette? 😆
Good quiz! Missed some of the newer ones, but kicked-ass on the rest.
"La Grange" by ZZ Top (ah haow haow haow haow!)
How dare you use the sellouttaca version of whiskey in the jar, the only one to do it justice was Thin Lizzy
Relax, it's a good cover. Metallica's problems is they couldn't wright shit after The Black Album (and even that is miles away from their first albums).
Are you seriously trying to get people to comment on how supposedly "knowledgeable" you are? Keep fishing
If you want to be technical... American Woman...Guess Who
Oh yeah 100% agree, but I'm not a big fan of covers in general, not trying to "show off my music knowledge" as I was told, just stating my opinion
@@thomasgordon9071 subtle, real subtle.
"American Woman" by The Guess Who I would have guessed. Same with "Whiskey in the Jar" had it been Thin Lizzy.
Add hard to handle by the grateful dead
27/35 great quiz!
24/35 - so many I knew but couldn't quite place though, a few kicking mystelf moments! And the last one I knew was La Grange - ZZ Top
100% thankfully only had to guess the song cause I was going original artist as first thought.
-MA
Lagrange ZZZ top
all those 80s hair bands sound the same to me. But La Grange? That one I know stone cold.
31 La Grange - ZZ Top
Last song by Leon Redbone!!!
The last song was La Grange, by ZZ Top!
American Woman covered by Lenny Kravitz. The Guess Who was the original.
Got 20 of them correct
Got about half, La Grange my favourite ZZ Top song. RIP Dusty.
Failed miserably but it was fun!
yea, me too
27/35 plus the bonus one ZZ Top La Grange
Several remakes on the list. Tres Hombres Amigo. That little Ol band from Texas. Sounds best with Billy’s Pearly Gates!
I got 28 right. Didn’t do so well with grunge music.
I missed two of them the killers(not a fan) and pearl jam (not a fan) not too bad 🇨🇦👍🏻🇨🇦
Last song was La Grange by ZZ Top. I got 25/35 right, there were 2 where I named the band correctly, but not the song, and 8 I missed completely.
The last one was La Grange, by ZZ Top. I missed 5, one of which was a case of the wrong word, but that one and one other, I knew the band, although I didn't know the song, and there was a third where I thought, "I don't know, but it sounds like..." and had the right band. So, two complete misses.
24 out of 36... not bad for a recalcitrant rocker!
I missed #4, 5, 16, 20, 21, 22 ack! and 29, 30, 31 (!) Why do I miss things in a row? Missed 33... but I do know ZZ Top, La Grange.
I've never heard of "Twister Sister"
Chuck Rock !
16½. Some I should've guessed, others I knew the song (original) but not the artiste and others I never had a clue.
Male, 63, UK
La grange good quiz 50%
La Grange…and dang it all, Carrie by Europe was the only one that stumped me!!
Thunderstroke by ADHD
It is easy when they sing the title in the intro.
La Grange. ZZ Top. Is the last one. I wish you'd have used The Guess Who for American Woman as it was their original.
22/35 knew many more but ran out of guessing time. Bonus is ZZ top Lagrange
Nailed it ...0/35 😂😂😂 Just joking. 11/35
I only missed 4
Fun Quiz. Twisted Sister, not Twister Sister, and Paint It Black has no comma. Black is not a name of a person.
Got 100% on the songs I had heard before, unfortunately that was less than 50% of these.
I swear I thought "You Could Be Mine" by GNR was "Polaris" by Megadeth for a second. Really similar. 25/35
Got most. But thinking Poison was the sex pistols was a big fail 😊
But there was the riff from "God save the Queen". 😊
La Grange, ZZ Top! I got 30/35, not counting the last.
I Guessed Whole Lotta Love, American Woman, Come As You Are, Dream On, Paint It Black, We Are The Champions, Best Of You, Mr. Brightside, Thunderstruck, I Was Made For Loving You, Centrefold, 2 Princes’s, Panama, La Grange,
I Also Like Born To Wild, All Right Now, Rock Of Ages, Listen To You’re Heart, You Could Be Mine, Still Loving You, We’re Not Gonna Take It,
19
18 100% right, 3 where I got the song but not the artist - because I knew the original version e.g. Whiskey in the Jar - so that's 19.5... Plus La Grange by ZZ Top Very hard.
La Grange Zz Top!!
LaGrange zztop
I better know that last one since I grew up in Houston...ZZ Top LaGrange.
got 33 out of 36. Missed the Kiss song, "Carrie", and, somehow, "Highway Star".
On Rocky Creek Rd to be precise....although it's not there anymore
28/35 ZZ top La Grange
LaGrange Zz Top. 34/35
le grange zz top
Too American for me, at least 10 songs I've never ever heard.
i only about 12
25 and LaGrange ZZ Top
La' Grange 33/35
24 correct
Needed more time for Highway Star but 100% aside from that
36/36
34/35
#36 was La Grange by ZZ Top. Missed three song and artist pairings and one song title.
La Grange by ZZ Top
La Grange by ZZ Top which would have been the tenth right guess from me with both song and band. I probably got about ten more where I only got the song or band correctly but not both. There were only about 5 intros where I didn't know either song or band at all. Not bad for a beginner.
22. ZZ Top La Grange
I missed 4 although I knew 3 of them once I heard a little more. The only one that I had never heard before was Carrie by Europe.
The bonus song is LaGrange by ZZ Top.
ZZ Top- La Grange. Missed the stupid Kiss song and Roxette.
I got 27 out of 35 right and it's Lagrange by zz top
24/35 or 36. I lost count of songs played.
I never considered Nervana r and r.
35/36 zz top - la grange
a huh huh huh
La Grange by ZZ Top. Missed 2 others because I couldn’t remember the song names
LaGrange ZZ Top
ZZ top La Grange
imissed whiskey in the jar by metallica cuz i never heard it before, revolution by the beatles, deep purple song, carrie by europe...31/35.
You should check out Thin Lizzy, one of Metallica’s influences. As an Irish band, Lizzy were upset that one of their best known songs was their rock version of an old Irish folk song, but it gave their career a boost at a useful time.
missed 3, carrie by europe, the killers song listen to your heart by roxette
17/35 Never heard of half the Song or Bands
I did about as well, because I stopped listening to the new stuff by the end of the 80's and stuck with Classic Rock.
The way I was playing was hit pause as soon as I recognized the song...
I missed #22 thinking was "Edge of Seventeen" by Stevie Nicks 😅
and #32 for "C'mon feel the noise" by Quiet Riot
Don't tell me that they are not the same!!! 🤣🤣🤣
in "Cum on Feel the Noize" DuBrow immediately starts in with the lyrics.
Number 36 was La Grange
Correctly named 11 songs about 5 I didnt know and the rest I guessed the band but didn't have enough time or recognised the song but couldn't name it
ZZ Top La Grange
Bonus: “A-how-how-how-how”
😏
I've never heard of a band called "Twister Sister".
They weren't going to take it.... Anymore !
felt cheated had whisky in the jar i said thin lizzy😃
I'm glad i didnt know the bon jovi crap,.....
Hey, great video. Very nice variety.
You should do a similar video for experts that plays only one second of the intro
Am I the only one that thought Runaway by Bon Jovi was Hold The Line by Toto?
No 😂. That got me too.
Yup
Me too!
Why Lenny Kravitz instead of the Guess Who on American Woman?
And Whiskey in the jar was originally Thin Lizzy
One bourbon one scotch one beer original John Lee hooker later done by George throughgood and the destroyers
It is twisted sister not twister sister
I got only 5 😭 three seconds is too fast
This was good, I knew them all and I recognized only one :D
31/35, with one being “Rock of Ages” heard it and immediately thought “Pretty Fly For A White Guy”…which is guess is technically correct lol.
Looks like everyone know La Grange
Got em all! Even the Offspring/Def Leppard goof on my part. And the bonus little Texas town called La Grange by ZZ top
Be nice if the volume for the intros was louder & the songs played at a lower volume. Had to keep adjusting volume back & forth.
