For me, the hardest thing to learn in pvp is what actually other classes can do. Everytime i try to dive into kolo i end the fight dead and thinking "from when this class can do shit like this" and i'm demotivated x)

As for your pve question, there are overlaps. So, it can be useful, yes 💯
Yo Lethousand yo recommend doing low lvl pvp i mean 50 - 100 or 150 , or just rush to 200 and them doing PVP
