We are of the same generation; I too am 71. I wore out my Ladies of the Canyon LP, playing it so much. I realized that could happen because when I tried to play it on a friend's record player, it jumped and skipped all over. I'd worn the grooves down to almost nothing.

Well, since Judy Collin's version was the first many of us consider it to be the original - and also the best version. Joni Mitchell indeed has a great voice, but so has Judy Collins. Anyway, it is a great song in both versions.

Joni, you have always been my #1 for decades! No one can touch you!
Joni Mitchell is outstanding in her field.
Just remember to bring her in if it starts raining ;)
Ahh, the ol' farmer joke..

Master level songwriting and performance
She's a goddess. I've been a Joni fan my whole life.
Same
I agree loved her beautiful voice and song lyrics since I first heard her so much meaning
same here
Same here. My all time favorite artist in everything she does, and my God, she's done a lot against a lotta' headwinds.
We witness the awakening, & the sleep, the morning, to darkness of the deep and light of days throughout the weeks...to feel these colours that we seek, we sing to speak. Your music brings these magical vistas to gently weep then to smile in me...❤
Unquestionably one the top 5 songs ever written in all history. I've been in love with Joni since I was 18 (now 70) so I am biased. It is my #1.
I first got to know this song when I was only 19 with the movie love actually. I knew of Joni, but wasn't as familiar with her catalogue. That famous scene in the movie made me a dedicated fan. Let me tell you that I literally woke up my husband from sitting on the edge of the bed sobbing, enraptured by this performance and seeing Brandi Carlisle play with her idol. It was truly a beautiful moment
You were so wonderful to see on the Grammys tonight..Thank you for your beautiful music.
The music of Faso is an inexhaustible source of sweetness.
It allows us to plunge deep inside ourselves and at the same time resonate with our fellow man, Yé Lassina Coulibaly❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Even after listening for decades, her songs are still fresh and vibrant and relevant. She's my musical touchstone that everything out there is compared against, and she always brings me an indescribable level of inner comfort and centeredness. I am so grateful to have had her as a musical presence through my teens to my senior years. How great is that.
❤ и я так же чувствую,! как вы пишете прекрасно об этом дорогом сердцу шедевре)
Joni Mitchell just kills me, Such beauty in every word, Every chord, Every story.
