I think this has to be the most thoughtfully designed adventure van I've seen in 5+ years, & the craftsmanship & attention to detail are amazing
Fully agree, there was not an inch of wasted space, nor was there a drop in quality anywhere in the van!
Really impressive build. One amenity that I have yet to see in a van build is Steam Closet.
"thoughtfully design? " i mean esthetic wise is good bot lots of wasted space and no toilet but still nice for city space living..

This Is one of the best vans I've ever seen, genius design, so many features and solutions i'd never thought about, this has so much practicality and everything is so well thought out, I love the easy to use and dispose toilet, the shower solution, the hot water solution , the heavy duty Solar Panels and all the Electrical redundancy systems, in actual fact there's just to much to take in :) everything he mentioned was a "wow that's clever " moment !!....he should be very proud of his problem solving, skillful design and quality finish .....the only disappointment is as an Expat living in France, i'll never be able to get my hands on such a wonderful Van...Thank you Nate for bringing us another wonderful video.

Website says $300k - $450,000 for conversions!!! 16:21 Exposed pocket holes? So much attention to detail but then they leave those, interesting. Imagine that ski trip with friends (presumably people in their 50s who have the cash for this ) sharing this space...doesnt sound comfortable. Especially since you could all fly first class and eat fancy meals at a luxury ski resort for a month (every year for probably 25 years) before you catch up to the price of purchasing, fueling, maintaining, and insuring this beast.
we just came from a 4 day ski trip in Park City/Deer Valley on a relatively low budget for the area. Cost me about $10K. stayed in an older, relatively inexpensive condo, took public transit, flew on points for free. The 'wealthy' people spend about 2-3x that much on accommodations alone. secondly, you have no idea how people in their 50's value their money. To some, this kind of van can be a fun way to travel around for 2-3 years, and then sell it the way you would sell a toy or an old bike. I agree that you would probably not see 4 people living in this van full time, but if there happens to be a guest who wants to stay over, or one of the grandkids, the option is there. there is a market for everything, and i bet this van will sell quickly. Shaiden seems to know what he is doing.

Seriously what type of a moron would pay for a van that costs that much? You’re deficating into a plastic bag and showering in a condom. You can’t even stand up. Those “blackout” window coverings don’t blackout the light emanating from within the van.

I have to agree with the comments. This van build is really over the top. From the bed design to the shower to the plexiglass glass over the power system and beyond. This is really one of the best if not the best designs I have seen. Great job and thank you for the video.

I don’t usually go for hide-away showers, but this one I could live with. I also love the bamboo cupboards. What I am concerned about are the countertops. Unless they are made of NASA grade super durable laminate that I have yet to hear about, I don’t think they will last with me with my hot pots and my invariably wet bottomed dishes.
Agreed, that pop up shower looks very useful! We have filmed many vans with varying types of laminate and they do hold up well over time! Thanks for watching!
So many smart, practical ideas. Dedicated space for the coffee maker. Vertical gear garage in the back. Dedicated trash chute so you don't have bags of trash inside the cabin. Large lounge area with bed lift (since you won't use both at the same time). All that reclaimed space from not including a full, standup shower. Insulated shelves for glasses. The list goes on and on.
One thing I do question however is how sharp those cabinet corners and edges are. They look very sharp in the video, which wouldn't be fun to bump up against. Also, the overhead bed appears to significantly lower available head room when using the lounge area, which might not be comfortable for tall owners (the kitchen area appears to be normal height).
This is absolutely amazing build, smart solutions, beautiful materials and great layout.

it is really practical i saw several van but i think that it is the one that i like the most and another one that he himself presented at the edge of the beach i am senegalese and i would like to know how much to have this kind of van thank you

Someone needs to do a rooftop deck that’s fully functional, meaning making it fall proof, with a built in slide. This build is amazing and innovating! Love the garage!

They sure have changed. I bought an older dodge in the 90's for 300 bucks. I put around a thousand into it of second hand and homemade stuff. hahaha !! I'll bet I had just as much fun. :) :)

16:55 the very first Surround sound from the mid 80s is a minimum of three channels and four speakers. Modern surround is minimum 5 channels all the way up tp 12 channels and 12 speakers. What you have is Stereo sound, which in my opinion is more enjoyable, not surround. I know it isn't a big deal but why not use the correct terminology when you can.
I agree. This was a nothing build. Valentine looks tired. There's nothing fresh or new in this build.

I think this is a really cool design. I like how the bed comes down from the ceiling. I wish more would do this but on the other hand if it ever broke I’d probably have no idea how to fix it
11:36 Toilet! He just didn’t pull it all the way out. I am kind a curious how the shower works or used. I’ve been a few vans and shower space sometimes sucks!

I agree. Showers are generally useless. Takes up too much water, too much propane to heat, and too much space that could be used for something else. Just a toilet and sink is all I want.
I have a shower in my 25 foot motorhome and I used it once out of curiosity. I am 6 feet tall and I fit. A very tight fit so not something I would want to take a long shower in. But ultimately I would only use it to get sand off my body after a day at the beach. And at that point I would rather have an outdoor shower. Just a hose that pops out somewhere on the outside.
@@milantiquestudios7460 - I’m considering an RV, went to a few RV shows, and very few showers were acceptable. I get the using less water part, shorter showers are no big deal. Keep in mind too he said in this video that they use the engine to heat the water, and store it in an insulated tank that should keep the water hot for 2-3 days. That is very cool! 👍🏼

I agree. The hot water thing is a wicked cool feature and a lot better than my water which stays hot for like an hour or so. I am amazed at the creativity and skill that goes into some RVs. European and Japanese ones are out of this world.
But so I don't give you the wrong idea of RVs keep in mind, I am a boondocker. I go to a campground every 3 days or so just to dump my tanks and refill my water and electricity. Which means I don't plug my water in to shower. It uses my tank so I have to be more conservative about how I use my water.
Also I have an Anytime Fitness membership so I shower at the gym. And Anytime fitness is everywhere so even if I can't find one near me, there is usually one 30-45 min away at most.
So my opinion on RVs in general is based on how I live in mine and the limitations of mine. While I see a lot of youtube RVers put a lot of time and money in their bathrooms which end up looking amazing. But they also use their showers more than me.

nice design. probably needs a bit more power, but you gotta save some $$ somewhere . . . but seriously, if someone wants to spend about $300K (I am assuming that would be the cost), why did you do the build on a 2021 van? you would think that someone who is spending that much would want a new van, no?

I never understand how iron bumpers can be accepted for insurance coverage ? In case of accident you will do a lot of damage to the other car, van..

It's a design choice. It depends on the end user what their ultimate priorities. You've just stated it's not yours. Ok no problem. You could easily put a door to the garage, put a shower head and toilet in that space.
Hence the beauty of a custom made vehicle. Duh
@@grahamsong4585Agree it’s about priorities. The majority of van users would agree that space utilisation is key. A fixed shower/toilet works well (it’s the staple offering from almost all manufacturers) but it’s not efficient. Many users never use their built in shower. We need more ideas/innovation that offer better space utilisation.
Not a fan of how the toilet and bath/shower are so secondary in this build but I would probably still buy that van - very well thought out/designed. 👍🏼

I've been watching Shaiden from his very first video - way back when he was doing video of builds not his own. He clearly has a ton talent. I expect him to work on the toilet. I'm not acquainted with a female that will use a bucket - like this build.
He is so extremely talented! Like he said in the video, this van had a different purpose vs a full blown bathroom :)

I believe Shaiden mentioned there’s a heated gray tank onboard so it probably drains into there somehow!

Very nice build. Ruined by the feeble toilet and shower location / option . Most would say this is very important. Unless you like living in a smelly box. I would totally add a mini washing machine combo in a build also.. why people don’t do this 🤷♂️

A great looking van build. The rich folks motto Montana will love this. But this is way over priced for what you get. Half a million for a van? Young folks do not have the capital to pay for this. I’m retired now so I full time RV in North America. My ride now is a Volvo 670 semi truck pulling a 45ft Spacecraft 5th wheel trailer. This van does not have a quarter if the luxury that my Spacecraft has. And I think this van costs more than my entire setup. No thanks to this over priced van.

8:19 what a bs you are already waaaaay too heavy to drive really off road. Imagine 8 people in there like he suggests, that adds ~ another half tons! This van wouldn't even be legal in Europe. It probably is where it's build. But good luck travelling elsewhere as it's breaking many EU laws. With this weight it needs to comply with the same regulations as a truck. And follow the same rules. Like speed limit etc. There's a reason no one else is building their van like this.

All that spec and style but no bathroom and no integral blinds and fly screens. Why do Americans always get those things wrong.
Build an off grid van but take a shit in the kitchen and have no space for bikes.

I like the van, but disliked the video for the stupidly loud van build guide ad. Especially since the video audio is so quiet.
I cant understand when they say 170" !! What is the OVERALL LENGTH!!!!! Is it long or medium 😡 toilet are secondary to living and garage nah wonder uk vans are better and CHEAPER 😡 no blinds ??
In the US they have a 144, 170 and 170 extended so you can say the 170 is the medium wheelbase sprinter van! Hope that helps :)
170" is the distance between the center of the front wheel to the center of the rear wheel which is also the wheelbase. From the rear of the front seats to the rear doors is about 15 feet (if I recall correctly). Hope that helps.
Overall length is about 19 feet -- again if I recall correctly.
It's big. Not the biggest but it's still big. Won't fit in a normal parking space, underground parking lot or fit(height) in a standard 40ft shipping container. Jumping off the roof might break an ankle. Washing it might be a little difficult

Seems like we had a war of independence almost 250 years which showed that we Americans don’t really care what those of you in the UK think. We’ve since bailed you out of two world wars or you would be typing in German now.
It’s not van life though is it. This is the equivalent of when music companies buy out raw musicians and make them mainstream media.
