I saw this and remembered my old silly inchworm animations from when I was a kid 8 years ago.. I checked the website and they're still there! I was able to download them all. It's such a treat to watch them again :')
OMG that looks amazing. I haven't touched my DS or 3DS in at least two years. I've...I've grown bored of it, sadly :( But this program just might get me all excited again! :D Thank you so much! I can't wait to try it out. I'm so fond of animating.
@screaminscott I understand your frustration. But you can't blame the program. I've been animating for over 3 years, and the stuff displayed in this video are really top-notch stuff. It takes real skill to make the stuff in the video. It really takes practice. The tools provided in this video is excellent. It's like, what professionals use.
it is just like it sounds -- start playing you animation by pressing the A Button. You can draw while it is playing. The end of the animation (or maybe layers) tutorial demonstrates it.
That is why I came back to watch this trailer my brain literally just only remembered that part of the trailer I had to look up a list of dsi ware games because i had completely forgotten the name of this game all of that just to watch this trailer again for the specific part
@XioXaio12 your right, but the 3ds flipnote has faster fps and more colors (just more colors from the old one not more colors than this) but I'm not sure what else it has though, so hold on for i think 'till next week for it.
@ninjaman891 As far as I know Flipnote doesn't support the camera for making stop-motion etc. From this video it also seems to have way more features than Flipnote.
@CFSRproductions It's missing sound and Wifi, which are two of the greatest things about Flipnote, IMO. The good news is, they might release a 3DS version with these features :D
@lolfreak21196 no ram left for sound recording dude, just import the swf or bmp sequence to any animation program you have (there tons of free ones out there) and record the sound on your computer where it can be high quality.
My greatest peeve with Inchworm is that you can't control the cell exposure time. I mean you can, but I find that the quickest exposure isn't fast enough to make a fluid animation. For example, in FlipNote studios you can make the cell exposure really super fast and it won't seem "patchy" but in inchworm you can't make the pictures change really fast enough for it to not look "patchy" (Full cell animation's a bitch like that) I'd give my right leg for shorter exposure time. That is my only issue
@Bluespheal No it dosent, but you have the ability to export as a swf file to work with your computer. Since you cant do high quality recording on a DS.

Well this looks awesome....I just hope that it can go online , chat , share and add stars (or wutever).. Because Flipnote Hatena was a learning experience for me. BTW Who cares about Flipnote Studio? Most of the people that are worried about Memo only wants to go online. We are all looking for Hatena.
ummm... i still dont get it i want to do what the stylus does at 1:28 he draws a path and then little dots follow it and he did not do anything exept draw the path how did he do that is there a option i have to put on or what? help again please!

OK. Make a new file. Hit the +frame icon about 8-10 times. This will give you 8-10 blank frames. Press A so that the movie starts playing (even though it is blank). If you then draw while it is playing, it will leave a trail like in the video. Each new little piece of your line is drawn to a different frame. Does that make it clearer?

Inchworm started in the good old USA. You can download it from the eShop.
To use patterns, click the little patterned box above the color palette. You can read more about patterns and how to edit them in the eManual.
I put this game on my 3DS cause I Just saw the trailer of it on my Nintendo on the EShop and I Fell In LOVE with it!
And then Inchworm Animation 2 (Butterfly) came out, and now Miku = Sad

@GojiGuy when the eshop comes it will be able to run dsi titles anyway so there doesn't need to be a version optimized for 3ds

need to know the limit of the frame rate before purchasing, because if it have just 10fps max then its not usefull to me

ok , how do you do the stop motion stuff??
Select Camera from the main menu, then choose Stop Motion for the camera setting. Then you just tap Shoot or press A to take each frame.
will this have the ability to put music and sound effects into the animations?
