RESTORATION PROCESS
I unscrewed the ax from the handle and sanded the metal. There were a lot of cracks in the metal, so I decided to reshape and cut the metal instead of welding. I went for the more Scandinavian battle viking ax look and I think I achieved just that. I also did a lot of grinding and polishing to get rid of all the marks and craters after many years of hard work. However, in order not to damage its ancient texture, I left traces reflecting its old appearance. I used a new handle for the ax and placed it on the head very well.
