Great catch Jr keep up the Great work / you should try Moharra about 2 o 3 inches you can catch them on a Sabiki or a Cast Net on a shalow water where the Sea Weed n Sand together, it great for Jack's too
What's up Jr. This is Big Al giving you a shout out from Corpus Christi TX. Are the cobias in great numbers in this area? I've seen other videos showing them caught there, but your video is the best. Happy new year and great catch.
Hey brotha thanks for the shout out been watching you boys out there in Texas slaying them aswell. Cobias run on this side around January to early February. And thanks again for the support my man !
Hey bro like Jr said it's the Apollo Beach Reserve it's like a State Park when you get to the parking lot you'll see a big lookout tower and then if you're looking straight out go all the way right you'll see a trail that leads down it's it is kind of hidden like he said and then just follow it down you'll see the beach off to your left hand side you'll see the plant with the 2 big smoke stacks if you can't find the trail get on the look out tower and look right and you should see the smoke stacks and head that way so yeah enjoy
@@glenseitz2949 @JrFishingTV is the basically on the north/northeast direction from that roundabout? My 13yo son are vacationing at apollo beach in a little over a week and would love to try. Are you using cut bait or shrimp?
Just wondering why do people use words like monster, giant, etc... referring to barely legal fish. Had you just said land based cobia that in itself is awesome to score a cobia from shore!
It was my first ever Cobia so I see where your coming from to me personally it’s a nice giant size. It’s different for everybody personally I call it a monster as it’s my biggest yet. But bigger ones are yet to come 🤙🏼 thanks for the support ! Tight lines bro !
Currently according to FWC website the (GULF FEDERAL WATERS) is Size limit of 36 inches to the fork. Local regulations according to FWC Is still (33 Inches to the fork and 1 per person limit) not fishing out in open waters as well. You can double check it next time
No problem man it happens. What matters is keeping what you can keep and following the rules like normal people’s and letting the rest live and get bigger for next time. Tight lines ! 🤙🏼
Man I Can't wait for Winter!
Yessir ! winter time equals cobia time for us 🤙🏼
Yummy huge jack! My Filipino daddy marinated them in soy sauce, coconut vinegar and garlic, then fried them. So good on rice and fresh tomatoes!
I'm moving to Apollo Beach. This looks amazing. I hope to fish here

Thanks for the support bro ! Will try that out next time I head out there !

Nice work brother
Appreciate it bro 🤙🏼🔥
Where do you guys catch the pinfish? I’ve fished that same spot on dead bait and gotten skunked several times. The live bait must be the way to go.
I normally get my bait from the sky way fishing pier the day before and keep them alive all night until the morning of my trip 🤙🏼
What bait was used? Great catch though
Thanks man ! I was using live pinfish as bait 🤙🏼
Dude you got cobia off the surf ?
YESSIR I DID NOT EVEN KNOW IT WAS A COBIA UNTILL MY FRIEND TOLD ME. LOL FIRST ONE EVER TOO ! 🤙🏼
@@JrFishingTV he’ll ya man
Appreciate it bro !
Bro it’s 36 to the fork
The Cobia is was a limit sized cobra so I wouldn’t consider it a monster, but you have some great content so keep it up
Appreciate it ! 🤙🏼
Keep up the good work 💯 Hope you doing well buddy.
#Socomallday
Appreciate it bro 🤙🏼 hope the same for you 🙏🏽
50 inch cobia would have ran you least 30 yards that wasn’t 50 inches

Monster I wouldn’t call that 15 pounder a monster
Hey man I like the vid but don’t put the name out like that it ruins the spot and it gets over fish
I hope you released that cobia, because it was just short of legal. The minimum cobia length on the West Coast of Florida is 36 inches.

@@JrFishingTV I apologize, you are correct. I somehow missed seeing there were two different minimum size limits.
