- As an Israeli growing up in Jerusalem, I never heard the term "Palestine" until I was in high school. For many others around the world they only hear the Israeli perspective and find the whole situation confusing. My book The General's Son has helped many people come to understand Palestine as I talk about my own journey learning about Palestine. For some Palestinians it's difficult to read because I talk with such admiration about my father and other ancestors who were instrumental in establishing the state of Israel and running it in the beginning. But many Palestinians have told me they appreciate the book and agree with my conclusions at the end.

I donated to them because as I saw it, they were providing funds for healthcare in Palestine. It was sad what happened to them, a hatchet job engineered I believe by Israel and the men here were sent to prison.

As a South African, I’m keenly interested in the saga of Israel/Palestine. It’s encouraging to see that there could be a way for Jews in Israel and Palestinians to get along, surely that’s the only hope, and end Apartheid.

This guy is really confused. Judea, Samaria and many more area's where ancient Jews lived, were conquered by Roman armies. The Romans called that whole area between Babylon and the Med Sea 'Palestine'. A made up name by Romans. Fast forward couple thousand years later the Jews and Arabs living there were called Palestinians. With Palestinian passports. Issued by UK, the new power in that area. When Jewish communities in 'Palestine' (area of Israël, Gaza, Westbank, Jordan) grew due to immigration from Europe due to persecutions, they were very regularly attacked by Arabs, just out of hate and ignorance. After 20 years of that violence, plus a holocaust, it was time to have a Jewish land. So the UN said to Jews to take 40% and Arabs 60% of the land mass mentioned above, excluding Jordan !!. Jews accepted, Arabs refused. That fact alone says it all. Choose life, or choose war. And since then Arabs have never changed. Violence, violence, violence, to Jews and to their own Arab citizens. And Jews? Making a life, create a succesfull sociëty, where Muslims and Arabs even serve as police and military in the IDF. Does that sound like 'apartheid'?. No, apartheid is the fact that all surrounding Arab countries kicked out their Jews. So now to the solution. Even now, after 75 years of all this shit, Israël would welcome immediately a neighbour state. And guess what 1 thing the Arabs have to do to get this? Abolish the hatred. That's all. But they don't, they won't, they never will. Because their whole existence revolves around the 'non-existence' of another people. They refuse, since 100 years now, to live next to a Jewish land. That's all.
