I am not Jewish nor Muslim but thank you for this interview. Learning a great deal over the last few weeks about what really goes on in our world. Unfortunately, many of us have listened to MSM channels as if they were our classroom teachers. We have been too lazy to read about Palestinian/ Israeli history nor inform ourselves via a variety of media souces and so, we believed the propaganda. My eyes are now wide open and I thank you for this interview. My heart goes out to the Palestinian people. I sincerely hope this carnage and oppression stops. If it truely was just about Hamas, we would not be seeing atrocities occuring in West Bank, as there are no Hamas there. Thank you again.

When someone support the Palestinian cause, you know he or she does it out of the goodness of their heart and a strong sense of empathy and justice. Because Palestinians have nothing to offer in return for their support except their gratitude and prayers. They got no money, no state, no influence. But when someone support Israel, especially when they are not Israelis themselves, it can always be traced back to money, lobbying, influence or the sheer fear of risking any potential retaliation.
Why is that , that Palestinians have nothing ! Countries send them millions and millions of dollars! Joe is it they aren’t getting it? They should have what’s houses of food, bottled water, non perishables. Exactly how is it that Hana’s can build 300 feet of tunnel equipped with electric, basic needs, Medicine etc but the people they are supposed to be governing over have nothing. My ex brother in law is Jewish. I always enjoyed spending time with him and his family. But one time, the conversation somehow was about the Israeli/Palestinian situation, where he said that the Palestinians are nothing but savages. I changed the subject quickly but it gave me a twist in my stomach. Unfortunately, I lost some of my respect for him.

I had a Jewish friend who invited me to a gathering of her friends. Some of these people had just returned from a trip to Israel and spoke with such hate for Palestinians I was shocked. My friend was a liberal Jew and had never spoken Ill of the Palestinians. I began to look more closely at Israeli politics toward the Palestinians and saw the cruelty they faced and I could no longer supported Israel.

Dear Rabbi, I feel so blessed to have come across this video as I've been torn over the conflicts in Palestine and Israel. I'm not a Jew or a Muslim - I'm a woman who was raised in the Roman Catholic but I'm not active but I'm someone who attempts to live by Christian values. I've always had friends who were Jews - in fact, my Mother and I befriended Mr and Mrs Trachtenberg who were Holocaust survivors and, I seemed to enjoy meeting and making friends with people of different religious, ethnic, socioeconomic and racial backgrounds. I find myself so troubled by the horrible conditions of the Palestinians but as a Mexican American Woman I'm only too familiar with discrimination and mass injustice to the Native Americans of whom I had a grandmother. I'd love to see Peace, Justice, Fairness and Economic Development which would include: an international port and airport! I pray that justice rules for everyone in Gaza and Israel. Thank you for your insights. I am married to a Palestinian woman and we have been marching in the rallies and writing our politicians calling for a ceasefire. During this time we have noticed how some of our friends have shied away from wanting to even to acknoweldge our heartache over Gaza. But we choose the path you described. We are meeting and making friends at the rallies including many Jews who are bravely saying 'Never again, means never again for anyone' and growing our community of people who are seeking peace and justice in the Middle East. And thank you for explaining how some people can see the horror in front of them and still not have the capability to empathize. It still hurts but it helps to understand.

Thank you for your inspirational conversation, full of mutual respect. I try to follow Rabbi's advice and I will try better after this talk. My story is amazing in such point. I am Russian from Latvia, I have had a lot of Jewish friends in my school, i standed up against any kind of antisemitism and when I came to Israel for the first time I have had a very big sympathy towards Israelis and their safe heaven state. But meeting some Palestinians in Jerusalem, Bethlehem and Nazareth, I was deeply shocked and sad. It was the beginning of my journey, as the host said. In 2019 I converted to Islam despite the fact that there were very few muslims in my country and the society is generally very Islamophobic. I do believe it was God's will. But there was also a "Palestinian factor": I liked the people I met in the Holy land so much. They were so empathetic,so patient so resilient! I have found a lady from Gaza at one if the RUclips channel. She was a widow with three little kids, and she asked for help - but with such a dignity and graciousity. I asked her to send me video of her kids, she did it immediately and afterwards we became really friends. Our sisterhood last for almost 4 years. She lives in Khan Younis, and today I cried before texting her. Alhamdulillah she and her family is alive. But every single day I wait a kind of bad news... I come back to the point of dealing, acting in the name if humanity. Working in a media outlet with a very pro-israeli stance among my colleagues I try to change their minds and to initiate a discussion at the editorial level of the war coverage. All I ask is to make it "more balanced", to make some Palestinians voice to be heard (as far as I know there are no Palestinians in Latvia, so it is a challenge), to make aid organisations position being vocalised.... Some tips to try and get people to "see the light" Ask them about how Israel helped establish Hamas to counter the less fanatical PLO... It's documented, most don't reply back or say it's "Propaganda" to try to avoid the question but really have them try to give you an answer, or ask them to look it up and discuss it at a different time! Another point is to discuss the real history of Jewish people in Europe, why did SO many Christian European countries try to expel their European Jewish neighbors? And then talk about the Zionist movement and how that's different from the Religion of Judaism and the State of Israel... Then to the Nakba, Ethnic Cleansing/Genocide of Palestinians etc and ask them WHY are Palestinians being punished for the sins of Christian Europeans to the Jewish Europeans? Best of luck on trying to spread the truth of the matter!

When someone support the Palestinian cause, you know he or she does it out of the goodness of their heart and a strong sense of empathy and justice. Because Palestinians have nothing to offer in return for their support except their gratitude and prayers. They got no money, no state, no influence. My ex brother in law is Jewish. I always enjoyed spending time with him and his family.
But one time, the conversation somehow was about the Israeli/Palestinian situation, where he said that the Palestinians are nothing but savages.
I changed the subject quickly but it gave me a twist in my stomach.

I had a Jewish friend who invited me to a gathering of her friends. Some of these people had just returned from a trip to Israel and spoke with such hate for Palestinians I was shocked. My friend was a liberal Jew and had never spoken Ill of the Palestinians. I began to look more closely at Israeli politics toward the Palestinians and saw the cruelty they faced and I could no longer supported Israel.
I have friends from Palestine. They are warm, hospitable and intelligent people. Political name calling has its purpose.
It is not the JEWS . There is no problem with them. It is what they call ( is ra el ) The Zionist state , they want to concur the world .

Dear Rabbi, I feel so blessed to have come across this video as I've been torn over the conflicts in Palestine and Israel. I'm not a Jew or a Muslim - I'm a woman who was raised in the Roman Catholic but I'm not active but I'm someone who attempts to live by Christian values. I've always had friends who were Jews - in fact, my Mother and I befriended Mr and Mrs Trachtenberg who were Holocaust survivors and, I seemed to enjoy meeting and making friends with people of different religious, ethnic, socioeconomic and racial backgrounds. I find myself so troubled by the horrible conditions of the Palestinians but as a Mexican American Woman I'm only too familiar with discrimination and mass injustice to the Native Americans of whom I had a grandmother. I'd love to see Peace, Justice, Fairness and Economic Development which would include: an international port and airport! I pray that justice rules for everyone in Gaza and Israel. I have been horrified by genocide occurring to the Palestinians by the Netanyahu government and the lack of outrage from our government and fundamentalist so called Christians. I have some hope for righteous ness and fairness to Palestinian cause by the marches against this travesty by so many young people. I am hoping these same courageous young people will vote against those politicians who support Israel regardless of her blatant unfairness to the Palestinian people.

Thank you for your insights. I am married to a Palestinian woman and we have been marching in the rallies and writing our politicians calling for a ceasefire. During this time we have noticed how some of our friends have shied away from wanting to even to acknoweldge our heartache over Gaza. But we choose the path you described. We are meeting and making friends at the rallies including many Jews who are bravely saying 'Never again, means never again for anyone' and growing our community of people who are seeking peace and justice in the Middle East. And thank you for explaining how some people can see the horror in front of them and still not have the capability to empathize. It still hurts but it helps to understand.

Thank you for your inspirational conversation, full of mutual respect. I try to follow Rabbi's advice and I will try better after this talk. My story is amazing in such point. I am Russian from Latvia, I have had a lot of Jewish friends in my school, i standed up against any kind of antisemitism and when I came to Israel for the first time I have had a very big sympathy towards Israelis and their safe heaven state. But meeting some Palestinians in Jerusalem, Bethlehem and Nazareth, I was deeply shocked and sad. It was the beginning of my journey, as the host said. In 2019 I converted to Islam despite the fact that there were very few muslims in my country and the society is generally very Islamophobic. I do believe it was God's will. But there was also a "Palestinian factor": I liked the people I met in the Holy land so much. They were so empathetic,so patient so resilient! I have found a lady from Gaza at one if the RUclips channel. She was a widow with three little kids, and she asked for help - but with such a dignity and graciousity. I asked her to send me video of her kids, she did it immediately and afterwards we became really friends. Our sisterhood last for almost 4 years. She lives in Khan Younis, and today I cried before texting her. Alhamdulillah she and her family is alive. But every single day I wait a kind of bad news... I come back to the point of dealing, acting in the name if humanity. Working in a media outlet with a very pro-israeli stance among my colleagues I try to change their minds and to initiate a discussion at the editorial level of the war coverage. All I ask is to make it "more balanced", to make some Palestinians voice to be heard (as far as I know there are no Palestinians in Latvia, so it is a challenge), to make aid organisations position being vocalised.... I didn't get succesed so far. And I feel very helpless. My Jewish friends - real and at FB blame me for biased approach. But these are they who put ethnic before ethic, not me. I hope Allah SWT shows me the right way. And I will very appreciate for your advices and ideas what could be done in my situation. My respect to you sister. I think that both you and I know that apportioning blame, the "eye for an eye" mentality and putting ethnic before ethic can never resolve a situation like we have today in Gaza and Israel. At some stage we all have to say STOP; accept none of us is perfect, and accept that there are faults on both sides, but NOW is the time to look FOWARD in the spirit of forgiveness, humanitarianism, brotherhood and sisterhood.
People who have experienced a ton of abuse, always will be the most empathic and kind. Because they've lived thru so much pain and trauma.
Some tips to try and get people to "see the light"
Ask them about how Israel helped establish Hamas to counter the less fanatical PLO... It's documented, most don't reply back or say it's "Propaganda" to try to avoid the question but really have them try to give you an answer, or ask them to look it up and discuss it at a different time!
Another point is to discuss the real history of Jewish people in Europe, why did SO many Christian European countries try to expel their European Jewish neighbors?
And then talk about the Zionist movement and how that's different from the Religion of Judaism and the State of Israel...
Then to the Nakba, Ethnic Cleansing/Genocide of Palestinians etc and ask them WHY are Palestinians being punished for the sins of Christian Europeans to the Jewish Europeans?

As an older person I understand his loyalty to his religion. I converted into Islam while I was a young gangster. Older people are very much loyal to their way of life.

My family is Jewish and I can tell you, Jews hold a lot of trauma from thousands of years of persecution (not to mention most recently the Holocaust...); they feel chronically unsafe... And this is aided by continued antisemitism around the world. It's gonna take some deep listening like this on all sides; re-humanizing people on all sides; a lot of emotional truths need be revealed.
