  • This is a tutorial livestream for Houdini to introduce some of the interesting algorithmic design process. For this livestream I'm going to create a basic 2d Eularian fluid simulation using VEX and OpenCL.

    Impressive, concise and interesting as always. Can't emphazise how much I'm learning with your tutorials, houdini is least of a beast and more of a pet after watching your videos and practicing on my own to make my version of your works. Very very cool channel.

    Thanks so much for the tutorial, Junichiro!! Just curious. Is there a way to adapt this to use as a texture on a 3d model? So the fluid interacts with the geometry? I was hoping I could figure it out but I'm such a noob it didn't work out. I'm sure it's a totally different approach. Anyway, maybe it would be a good follow up video if it's possible with this setup? Thanks so much!!

    For checking the s value at around 1hr 21min 31 sec there is still some values that hit 1 btw. I double checked in the downloaded file too it ends up being some points that live inside the obstacle bounds.

    could you please do some tutorials using new linear solver. Seems there is no need using hdks or python libs for many things written on research papers, since we have this node there. but there are no lessons on that
