There is a theme that keeps recurring of self-hate. It seems post colonisation, reconciliation was preached more however, if I may ask was there a conscious effort done to love ourselves again that is decolonise the mind, to make people realise that colonialism was not just about guns it also involved adopting foreign habits, cultures, religion, music, language, dressing, beauty standards, education etc. So it seems we were made to love everything foreign and nothing was done to dismantle all of that and go back to our true selves. I think we dont give psychology its true value, we need our own psychologists to recondition our mindsets as currently we are still mentally colonised to hate everything about us. Hence we hate our own music because we were taught that everything about us is bad, be it the hair, the skin, religion, music, clothing we still shave our heads to stick someone else's hair with glue, why because we hate ourselves that much.
