Its kind of sad seeing jonhy was the only one trapped in the past while everyone else evolved. We couldnt see how its their relationship before larusso appears but his love for Ali was real, and she knew it. I think he deserved a goodbye kiss to make him feel more confident. Kobra kai is his story afterall.😊❤

This is my favorite part. I’m glad Johnny and Ali got to see each other again and having fun at the same place. I’m sure they feel young again. So nostalgic.

So heartwarming to see Ali has matured enough to be happy to be around Johnny again after the original movie. I hope we see Ali in season 6, like as a guest at Johnnys wedding or something!
This was so lovely they see each other again
It's crazy to think you have to watch Karate Kid I, II, III before you can fully appreciate Cobra Kai. But for future generations, the passage of time between the movies and the series will seem instantaneous. It will be a shock to see everyone go from being teenagers and 20-somethings to adults over 55 in one sitting. Future generations won't experience real time passing between when the movies were made, and when series first aired. I think those emotions will be lost on them, but I'm sure they will still enjoy the ride.

How about Ali, Kumiko, Jessica (not really a girlfriend, but at one point clearly had a crush on Daniel before introducing him to her cousin), and Amanda, alongside Lucille LaRusso, in the same room swapping reminiscences, making things awkward for Daniel to Johnny, Chozen, and Mike Barnes's mild amusement, to say nothing of Samantha and Anthony's amusement (maybe a situation that Julie Pierce could bail him out of by shifting the conversation toward everyone's memories of Mr. Miyagi)?

Since Johnny is doing to Ali at this Golf and Stuff what Daniel did to her back in 1984 it would've been more appropriate if Daniel pulled up in a car to remind Ali of the party and told her "You can invite your little friend there too if it's ok with Carmen".

Probably the most underwhelming character return in the show. She divorces her husband despite the fact that he was a "great guy" and leaves him with his two kids. If they had given a better reason I'd understand, but this just comes across as shallow. I feel like the writers only did it to add some unnecessary "will they won't they" crap between her and Johnny. Glad this didn't become a thing because more than likely she would've done the same thing to Johnny. Him ending up with Carmen is what made up for it.
I bet Ava, the rebellious daughter sleeps around.
