this track is bizarre. but you can hear how good the SiX is, and how fun it is to record and mix with!
They should make a "Ten" version with built in audio interface 🔥
As an Ableton dude that came up on analog, not to mention I know what an SSL sounds like for real, this could easily be my setup. Thank you, SSL for making another compact solution for people like us and thank you, Vintage King, for making this video...now I REALLY want an SSL SiX!!!!!
Ft. ME...MotorKam🔥🔥
next level product demo!
That mixer is a thing of beauty.
really nice demo. i already have the SiX but its always cool to see how people are using it. one of my favorite things to do with it is sending a stereo cue to the listen mic compressor and mixing that in as a super glue
This was freakin dope! shout out to Motor Cam, dude dope lyricist!
must be very cold in this studio... :))) very nice video. thumbs up...great gear and amazing performance
this is LIT
That beat is some serious heat
Big up to the beat maker.
Auf sodass habe ich gewartet 💚
great vid, digging the rap tune. keep the fire burning
Here we go!
Fire 🔥 🔥🔥🔥
Finally !
It’s kind of funny using high quality components for LoFi
Not hating tho, video is great.
This is awesome man
That was cool
MC sounds like the 90s on steroids!
Dope track and demo..
Great video. Can you explain how u use this with your Apollo interface ?
Great track man!
Dream mixer!
What’s the best way for connect my SSL six with my Apollo twin ?
Dopeeeeeeeee
6 is a new classic piece of hardware.
Saving up...
is it just me or did the final mix sound a touch cluttered. and it sounded like his vocals got buried a few times... i think it was the low end of the synth? im not sure but something seemed off. either way... cool video
Nice song nd mixer
What i dont understand is how youre getting the tracks from ableton to the sl6. Are you using an interface that has multiple outputs? Dont see how ill manage that with a native inst. audio 6
😍
Should I get this or the Dangerous 2-bus+
Super dope. I’m sold! What drum kit are you using? I’m loving that kick.
ssl for makingf lofi
wait, Andy said something about sending the mixer into an apollo interface, but isn't the Six an interface already?.... what would be the advantage of running it into another interface?
This is legit for sure
hey guys i can connect arturia audio fuse on the SSL Six?
Mixer into Fuse to record audio to DAW. Then you take the outputs of the Fuse back into the Six to do some other magic tricks and then back into the DAW.
If this thing was also an interface it would be a no brainer. Without its cool and useful but not necessarily a must have.
I am Wating for 💚
get 3 of them and call it a day
and how does it connect to the DAW? a USB type b??
You need an audio interface
It has to be connected via analog connections. It has a second bus (called bus B) which can be activated with the mute button. And with that bus you can connect it to your DAW for recording (like subgroups on bigger desks).
You can also use the insert sends of channel 1 and 2 as direct outs to the DAW.
It appears to be strictly analog. Means that you'll have to connect via audio cables.
It's a analog mixers. Have to hook it up to a audio interface
When are they releasing the SSLEight,. I will wait for the eight
We need the TwelVe!
I want this thing but with 4 pres xD
👀👀👀👀👀👀👀👀
I like the idea of the 6. Just need to compare to Vst emulations because the work flow is quite limiting. Is the limiting work flow justified by the improved sonics. In the box EQ is just as good as hardware but compression there is still a noticeble difference in quality.
it really does depend on workflow. I think the emulations are close...not perfect...but close enough. I use Waves and I like my current workflow to not have to go back to analog mixing...BUT...the analog summing and hardware compression??? It would make my drum mixes sound a lot better without having to go rent Never or SSL gear.
Alt 3-4 to daw for me , hold my Kidney.
Cost?
Lyrics
I think if they put it at 800$ they would’ve sold more but 1,500 was a lot
Great! Whaahhahaha
Wait.. I get the vibe that the EQ, Comp, Etc are actually digital emulation with physical knobs... is that right? Or is it an actual analog mixer?...
The SiX is an analog mixer there are no digital emulations involved.
hmmmm
take of your jaket?
mans never hot!
Wtf
Fuuuuuuuck
