I can’t play an instrument, admire people who can do seven things at once. And I was a pro athlete who could hit a 100mph fastball. Love U2 and their sound. I see now how it is made. Wide Awake in America.
Basically just 2 chords for 99% of the song (A and D). U2 are masters of taking something very simple and making it really tasty.......The band is all bout supporting the singer , not how fast you can play a million notes on your instrument. Still my favorite band and I'm musician.

Not quite. The tone and delay is great. But if you ever watch The Edge playing it, on the main riff he doesn't stop while the high notes are ringing out. He goes back to playing the muted A and D strings. I like that you out in the pull offs that he used in the Live Aid version, but doesn't use so often these days.

So good. So I had always thought this was a single delay but I think it’s .8th and maybe a 1/4 note delay too? One louder than the other? Single delay just doesn’t seem quite right
fishmank27 it depends on the tour. I think up to 360 tour it was 2 delays, I+E and JT17 it’s one delay only.
@@EdoFaiella If it is two, you are just using a quarter and dotted 8th? Is your video one delay? I guess that would be a better question. It sounds spot on but I cannot seem to get that with one delay thx

Amazing tone and playing! I love U2 and I play guitar only in my house, the Axe FX is extremely expensive here in Brazil, do you have any multiprocessor effect to suggest for me, that intend only to play at home? Thanks!
you can get a great tone using any recent BOSS multieffect that has a double delay option
@@olucasguerra I got a pod hd500, in conjunction with a joyo ac tone. I'm having a great time so far.
Lucas, I use a line 6 m13. A popular multi effects stomp-box on a budget (around £200 on ebay). A lot of effects for the money.

Hi edo.i use a vox tonelab se. Which has a korg dl8000r modeller also does the korg sdd3ooo delay. Which would you use out of the 2.Thankyou for your help and feedback. Andy.uk.
sorry, I had missed your question! Well, the most obvious answer would be the sdd3000, although I always suggest to use your ears, as sometimes modelers name an algorithm after some sought after effect, but in the end the only thing they have in common is the name (think of most line6 models, some sound good, some sound great, but if you do an A/B comparison with the effects they're named after, they're very far off!). Also, keep in mind that the Edge has mostly used the tc2290 (and the axe fx 2290 sim) for probably 80% of the delays since the elevation tour, with the sdd used as second delay on dual delay presets, and for some specific old songs (electric co, I will follow etc)

The delay is digital with modulation, 433ms, about 5-6 repeats, 45% wet. Btw, if you have / use any fractal audio processor you can buy this preset (and many more) on my website!

I never knew there was a solo in this song. I did, but I just thought it was more of a bridge an a solo.
Well, by definition a solo is “a musical performance in which one person is given special attention”, I would say the guitar gets the attention in that part (unless we watch live aid! Lol)

Edo Faiella I’m trying to say that the six people who disliked your video probably bought your preset thinking that if they bought your preset they could make it sound exactly like you without having to try to get anything else right. It’s a complement to how great your presets are, and an offense to those who think all they need to do is buy your presets
