I am getting a feeling that shift up might introduce some kind of 'evolution' feature in the future for all the new upgraded version of Nikkes in the story. Like you know add some kind of new resources to the existing unit to upgrade them to their new form. I feel that because all the Alt including the SSR version of SR character that we see are not really an upgrade in universe. They are just different outfits with sometimes different weapons. The new forms of Rapi, Mihara and the Absolute squad are specifically mentioned to be stronger and most likely to be their permanent look. I know it might be a bit out there but I think it could be a really cool addition. Edit: Talking after the Rapi Red Hood banner reveal. They did make her an Alt but as a new classification Overspec that is paired with the pilgrims. I guess now on Nikke with actual in universe upgrade are going to be Overspec Alt and one that are just simple outfits change to fit a specific theme are going to be regular Alt

I can even imagine "elite" versions of mass-produced Nikkes (R units uplifted to SR tier). Because this doesn't contradict the lore. Rapi was initially a mass-produced Nikke too. E.G. iDoll Sun evolving into iDoll RedSun with red hair and red-trimmed gear. Or Product 23 gets Absolute-style beret and black visor with red trim and red armband and cool automatic shotgun with a drum mag. Or Product 12 gets that black with red trim armour scheme and a minigun instead of her usual MG.
It could be similar to Mash's growth in FGO, where she starts off as a 3-star unit, but grows to a 5-star with different and improved skills as the story unfolds.
I love Rapi and her character development and she is one of my fave Nikkes along with Marian, Dorothy and Cinderella. It was good to see her teaming up with her old squad Absolute in the later chapters. I do hope we get an SSR Rapi, I want her in my main team again.
How I feel about Rapi? I feel like my heart is on the verge of bursting from how full it feels at the mere thought of this sad, yet brave, persevering, thoughtful and profoundly good-souled fictional cyborg woman. It’s not often I find myself at all enamored with a work of fiction’s leading lady, so I applaud the Shift Up writing team for their work on Rapi. What would I like to see next? Maybe an episode on the Extrinsic squad? This Christmas event is shaping up to be the culmination of a large part of Maiden’s life spanning from Nikke day one to the present day. Her bond story, Dark Hero, and Ice Dragon Saga, together seem to tell a gripping story about her struggle to honor duty, self worth and personal connection, and once we see how it ends once Christmas has passed, I think it would be lovely to see how all the pieces fit together, and how they connect to the larger story as a whole. As always, thank you so much for all your videos and the fantastic work you do on each of them!
I still wish we knew how and why Red Hood and Rapi merged at the end of the Red Ash event and what that weird red eyeball machine was before Red Hood disappeared again.
RH just thought herself as a mercenary with no reason to sticking around with her squad that she believes to have their own path but when she met Rapi she found an entirely new purpose she never had on her time with her former squad and pass everything she have and its mostly her skills and strength
My personal theory on this is that Red Hood assimilated her Corruption Code and achieved a state of fusion with it that was similar to Red Shoe's perfected code, but less dangerous for humanity. Thus, Red Hood merged with Rapi and literally corrupted her with herself. It's why Rapi's NIMPH seemingly doesn't work right, because it's been subsumed by Red Hood. It's why Rapi is immune to Red Shoes strain corruption, because Red Hood is already there blocking it out. It's why Rapi transforms so compleatly in Chapter 34 that Seven Dwarves ZERO recognized her biometrics and unlocked immediately, because she underwent her own Second Affection just like Marian.
Judging from how she wanted to destroy the ark, I can safely say the eyes that she saw might have been a rapture. Considering how terrified Trony was with knowing what the power source of the Ark is, it’s possible that Red Hood got in trouble with the Central Government and tried to capture her which may have lead to Rapi and her core to be fused into a body so that they could hide her. Of course, that is just a theory.
She's been my #1 Nikke waifu since I started and have loved the progress in her character... just opening up and loving herself more overtime. Damn I want my SSR Red Riding Rapi soon. I tried my best to keep her on my main squad, but as an SR, I was only to use her for so long into the story.
Little off topic but I wander of Anis and/or Neon will get an “SSR version” like Rapi does in the latest ch. like a big power spike upgrade. They’re important too but I guess not AS important as they made Rapi be. Also another side note, if only Neon was affiliated with Missilis instead of Elysion, we’d have a squad with a Nikke from each big faction which just feels thematically appropriate

i haven't caught up with lastest chapter yet. still stuck because of CP too low to continue pushing. but I'm at chapter where Rapi push Nihilister, indivilia, chatter box put of ark and disappear asking commander to look for her. i personally don't mind the spoiler so i keep watching your vid 😅. from the lastest chapter story, aren't team 'counter' should be considered the most elite Nikke in the ark already? form what they're been through no known Nikke in ark could possibly match them.
In term of fame, yes. Counters is the most famous squad in the Ark from their 95% mission success rate (some mission they purposely failed for the plot, such as recover Bolt's model doggo and some other side quests). Some of their missions are secret to the people but they were recognized from chapter 24 for sure. But in term of skills, experience and firepower, if not count the current Rapi, Anis and Neon are subpar compared to the top squad of each manufacture in every way. We got a foreshadowing of the new Anis (maybe related to Pretty, the idol of tetra who got killed in the Nikkephobia tragedy) at the end of chapter 34, but Neon is still an enigma with so many untold secrets behind her eyeglasses and her model number that was so old compared to other Counters members.
Oh yes, at this point, they are pretty famous, and people are starting to notice which is good and bad at the same time. In terms of power, Rapi and Commander are carrying the team, but even the characters are aware that Anis and Neon are falling behind. They are taking action to improve in their own ways.
Just out of the bloom. This makes me wonder what is vapaus ? Is it a form of natural evolution going against the rapture or even a catalyst in the creation of raptures ?
I have a theory about it. I think Vapaus has been in front of us all along and it essentially is a type of Core Dust, a substance meant to enhance and power Nikkes and Raptures. Another thing that leads me to believe this is how Heretics are actually just the core, their organic matter or brain doesn't matter, contrary to how a Nikke necessitates a brain to exist. With the exception of Cinderella, Cindy still is in her original body with her brain intact, the others its debatable. Essentially, the core would be not only a source of power, but something that assimilates the personality of a Nikke and becomes its own thing. For example, that is what Anachiro is for Cinderella. And Vapaus enhancing the core has two different types of evolution: One for the core alone (heretics), one for the core that functions simultaneously with a brain (nikkes).
Elysion recovered it after the investigation of the mission after they failed to scout the electrical energy facility. Everything got destroyed after the fight with Grave Digger. I welcome others to discuss.
I'm not going to lie, but while I understand the character development of Rapi, it kind of left me with a bat taste in my mouth. I mean, I was ok with Rapi. I kind of like her (but wasnt my main girl, but she was ok), and I understood her character. Everything was fine. But then, after getting her back from her troubles with Red Hood, the changes on her personality slowly but surely started to piss me off. -After Red Hood, she became a bit more possessive. She stopped other Nikkes from getting close to the Commander. I was "Ok, I get it. She started to become more confident and want to show the Commander was ´her man´, and so she will start to show more and more emotions towards the Commander". The thing is... I dont feel she did enough. Sure, they hold hands and said how close they were, but... I felt that wasn't enough... specially if you compare her with the bonds of other Nikkes. -What started to nag me was when she stopped the Commander from consoling other nikkes, saying how it was not appropriate. This whole thing about "you shouldn't help them when they are down because its not appropriate" was so bluntly done to cover how jealous she was, that started to make me angry. This is more personal, but I really dislike the concept of the main girl becoming all jealous with the MC and not letting him interact with other girls but at the same time being too coward to express how she feels, leaving the MC confused and with no companion close to him. It was approaching "You don't want to be with me, you don't want me to be with anyone else. How miserable do I have to be before you're finally happy?" levels, and while not THAT bad, Rapi was starting to walk that way. - The whole "Fragile's Butt" thing. The commander was talking about Fragile's clothes and how there was a hole on it, but Rapi was like "ah, so you are looking at other girls butts, eh? I see, I see" and then started to shame the Commander when Anis and Neon asked what was going on, which ended up with Fragile asking the Commander about it and make it all awkward. I was like "Rapi, what the fuk?" -The whole attacking Grave out of nowhere. I know, this was influenced by Red Hood's memories, but still. Grave has been helping them, and even gave the Commander something to heal him. And then Rapi went to attack Grave, ignoring everything that happen and, most important, putting the Commander in danger, because if Grave overpowered Rapi, the Commander will be left all alone against Grave, which by that moment didn't know if she was going to attack them. -And obviously, after Behemoth crushed her in her battle, she started to become more and more irrational, to the point she was more focused on killing behemoth to "recover her objective" that she put everyone else in danger several times. By then, if I was the Commander (technically we are, but you understand what I mean), I would have asked her to pull back, because she was getting everyone in danger. Now, I understand all of this was made so she can evolve and regain what she lost and all that thing... but since it took a full year, it left me a bad taste, to the point that right now, I actually see Rapi in a bad light, and even her transformation and new form felt "meh" to me. Doesn't help that I really LOVE Red Hood, so she disappearing to get Rapi back, only to see those changes in her after is really disappointing. I REALLY need the next chapters, and the SSR Rapi to be released to see her bond story, because I NEED to interact with the new Rapi and see how she is now, because as it is now, I'm just "meh" with Rapi.
She just got a big update on her model/rig. Rapi had one of the oldest designs in the games history. Absolute was definitely one of the first designs ever made for the game. She got Red Hood colors, but she's overall the same, mostly which fits the narrative. She went from generic mass produced to full Pilgrim.

Amiya is a class shifter in Arknights, while she doesn't change from 5 * to a 6* unit, there is precedent for these shifts to happen. Like this idea

Hopefully not. If Rapi is f2p she won't be good. She needs to be a normal unit or even something like a Pilgrim unit.
