Shred Show did a whole video reviewing the Rusty Heckler. The concave is called a Venturi concave, and funnels water through a narrow point to make it go faster, much like your finger on the open end of a hose.

I really want to come back and surf with you guys. But I have an idea for a video for Ki'ili and Atua. Spanish Lesson on Surf lingo in Costa Rica. Like how to describe waves in spanish, tricks, all the different lingo that people use there. Maybe talk about some of the slang there as well. Look forward to the video if you decide to make it. Could also interview random people on beach that speak spanish to describe the waves, or how their surf session went.
If you're looking for a good small wave board id get a rusty dozer I saw one in the shop and I ride it and it is my favorite board I have ridden so far because it's so consistent and fun
It's always seems like such a gamble buying boards. Seems everyone has a theory about a tweak they do to one or more of the many variables in board shaping. A lot of money to find out it doesn't really work then you'd feel bad selling a problem board too. At my level long boarding it's not as much of a problem but more so for higher performance surfing I guess. At this years board room show the rage seemed to be crescent shaped tails on long boards. How is public transportation down there? For instance how hard is it to make a day trip from Tamarindo to your area? Thanks for the work all of you do sharing your lives there!
I know the feeling when it comes to the camera gear. I have a $1200 camera, and I basically never let it out of my sight. No, I would never leave it on a beach recording while I went out and surfed. Odds are too god that it wouldn't be there when I got back.

You can't leave anything on the beach here which is too bad. Boards are getting more expensive. My first custom 9' was only $400 not anymore. I have never thought about using a short board for small waves.

I Would like à new board and i have been surfing a 7'6 mini Malibu from Hawaii surf designs. i was thinking of a 6'4 hybride fish board but i'm not sure... i'm 1m80 for 53 kg and i've just turned 16... if anybody could answer it Would be great ! Thank you.

Yeah board prices are getting pretty high. this is why all my boards are used . some more gently than others .
