- The patient this time is a vintage Seiko Lordmatic with a 5606A movement. It has a failed quickset calendar which I was fortunate enough to purchase from VTA.
Its a short video, I have tried adding in some music to break the monotony of the process. Please feel free to skip ahead to the parts you are interested in.

Great work. Satisfactory restoration of a vintage watch.
Glad you enjoyed it
Nice job. I do actually like watching the disassembly tho, it gives a good view of issues as they are found.
Noted. Some video files got corrupted and lost. So I had to skip the disassembly. Will put that in next time.
Wow!!! Thanks for sharing.
Nice restoration!
Thanks appreciate buddy!
Soon.
Buenas noches desde Colombia........ pregunta: que número de paper lija utiliza para resaltar las líneas de la caja en la parte horizontal
1000 grit sanding paper, then work my way up. Sunburst was achieved using the scouring mop. It is the brown wheel in my Omega Seamaster video.
I would like to see it on the time grapher at the end.
Its returned to the customer. Was beating 260-270amplitude. Pretty decent for a vintage Seiko. Dropped down to 230-240 crown down. But no issues lasting a day and then some more. Mainspring change was an option, but customer was satisfied with current performance.
Super..
Thank you
Nice job, watched looked really good at the end. How much did they charge for making that part?
Thanks! Its about 50AUD
Hy, welk done! How did you apply the radial sunburst effect by hand?
Thanks in advance!
Its called a scouring wheel, which has the texture of a scouring pad. Then, set the polishing machine at low speed and refinish in the direction of the grain. A little tricky, but that will take you most of the way.
