- hey guys! as requested, i am continuing my online dance class (tutorial) series for small spaces/quarantine! Today is an intermediate lyrical/contemporary combo to "Falling" by Harry Styles. The choreography is designed to fit most smaller spaces and can be tweaked for all levels (it's basically intermediate). so many of you guys shared and posted my last class which was amazing!! I loved watching all those videos and i am so grateful for you all. and thank you for 14K. its insane. love u #keepdancing

Me: a 16 year old cheerleader who has never done a dance class in her life at 11 pm learning how to do this during a pandemic. I always wished I had done dance.
unknown honestly for me the dance was like easy enough to learn the counts but only because of my cheerleading background, but the only challenging part was for me to be more fluid because in cheer you’re generally more stiff. If you’ve never done dance before this might be a good dance to start to since its pretty slow and not too complicated. You got it!

also, did you do the turn? I probably can't do it, but idk what to do. I might just have to shorten it.

@@miamadison yes i know, i have learnt it all, i just have to practice and memories it :) the end is a bit difficult but its ok.

As a dancer who is slow at processing and learning new things, I really appreciate how you took the time to explain what you were doing. I love dancea, but it's frustrating when they expect me to pick up certain things so quickly. I want to learn at my own pace and I cant attempt certain choreography accurately if I'm being pushed too fast. Again thank thank you for this!!❤🥺

I have been dreaming to start dance for years now, I’m 15 and I only recently found enough space in my garage to teach myself until I can move onto a studio. It’s hard because I don’t have much experience and the floors are hard stone, but I watch many videos and I’m learning fast with passion. This is probably one of my favorite routines even though it took hours to learn😂😂 Thank you so much for posting it and I will continue to watch these for sure❤️❤️

Mr sara, Nobody starts out perfect or great at dancing, give yourself time, practice, and positive energy. You’ll improve in no time
Mr sara I am currently trying to get back into dance after 7 years, I can tell you your not horrible or too old even though it can feel like that at times, but you aren’t keep on practicing at home and you can find a lot of good classes on RUclips, try taking a bunch of different styles of dance and experimenting after a while you will get the hang of it 💞

Tiktok Shade it’s good that you have the passion that is the most important part you need to have the motivation and the drive because it will be be rough but if you love it, it will be worth it. It’s not too late to start their are a lot of dancers that start late and end up going pretty far in their dance career (misty Copeland started at 13!) Because you are starting late you will struggle a bit but don’t give up!!! Here’s what I recommend to start: First off start look at online classes in ballet, jazz, hip hop and contemporary there are a lot of them that are free try doing them as often as you can even I recommend talking at least 2 different styles a week ( to make it as a dancer you must be equally diverse in styles and these are the “foundation” of most dance dance styles). Second don’t compare yourself to other dancers many dancers started early and it may be discouraging but remember they trained hard to get like this and it took time so try your best and not compare yourself to them ( also don’t over stretch yourself it can cause more harm then good!). Lastly look into dance classes next your city that you can start to train at once COVID-19 is gone, it’s not a *must* but it can help you gain hands on training-with real people who can help make suggestions as make you into a 10x better dancer.
My dance classes are canceled bc of corona and it is my only emotional outlet so these videos are really appreciated also I LOVE FALLING by harry styles;) could you maybe make a dance on IDK you yet by Alexander 23??

I've been starting to love dance and i've been learning in my small cramp room and i'm rather clumsy and I always bump into things and it doesn't give me the freedom to passionately dance around. I try to look for dances so I can use some techniques to make myself better so I might move on to a bigger space or a studio. This dance gives me lots of idea!

I like to suggest we start with warm ups. I know to do warm ups before a class to prevent injury and to get losses up and work on technique because i took ballet when i was younger. But a lot of the beginners here who have never taken a dance class before probably dont know how to properly warm up.

I am not a dancer.. I wish my parents let me live out my dream of dance as a child but they made me do every sport except dance 😅 So as a 27 year old with two little girls, on my free time I like to try to learn how to dance. Especially contemporary style- it’s my favorite!
I was wondering if you could do a video specifically for someone who has absolutely no experience, but wants to dance a really pretty and emotional contemporary dance routine? Like for beginners only? Maybe you could throw in a few advanced moves Incase your more advanced audience wants to learn, but I am finding that these moves are a little bit hard to keep up with. I feel like if I start a little smaller I could build up to learning the weekend song! I would love to learn from you specifically!
