Major League Baseball consists of 30 teams split between the American and National Leagues. Dipoto isn’t the problem. He’s working amazing trades within the meager budget that he’s given….By the ownership. The Mariners are the most profitable franchise in baseball and yet they speak of not having the budget to pay for a bat. We’re not asking to pay a 30 year old dude a third of a billion dollars over the next decade; just spend $15 million on a rental bat for a year or two.
