For the flower question, I noticed B shared 4/4 Stems, but A shared 3/4 of the same Petals, A shared 3/4 single circle flower head, and A shared 3/4 Leaves. It doesn't change anything based on the color of your skin. It has a lot to do with family values, closeness of the family and their wants and needs; plus it could be that certain aspects of your life (intuitively) are more traditional. Many Latin families have a similar hierarchy of family unity. As well as some of my Russian and Somalian friends also have similar traditions as many Asians.

These tests were performed and I saw it on another youtube channel maybe discovery or national geographic: According to them Asians have culture and philosophies of interaction between each other like Everything is connected, interdependent and has cause and effect Western philosophy is more about individuality Like if want to explain science according to ancient chinese they will make concept of "qi" i.e. energy to interact with another whereas western philosophies tend to look at the property of the body A balloon flies because it has lighter weight so it levitates(in western philosophy) whereas for eastern it flies because the air outside is blowing it(interaction) So its all about cultural perception
I'm an American of European descent. Four of my answers showed an Asian mindset and one showed a Western mindset. I've never lived in Asia and have not been around Asian people very much except one friend in junior high and some of my students when I was a teacher and counselor, so I don't know why I would have an Asian mindset! Given the examples, though, I definitely do prefer the Asian interpretations of the questions. Very interesting.
Also, I answered 'no' and 'no' to the "is that guy happy" question. Anyone else? IMO you can never tell if someone's happy from them seeming happy or smiling on the outside. They could just be polite or try to seem nice but they could actually be lonely, depressed, desperate, etc on the inside. I'm probably overthinking this though.

Personal experiences make a huge difference in this. Just because you are Asian ethnically doesn't necessarily mean you would answer "East". I got 3/5 East, but I have no Asian DNA. However, I have studied eastern philosophies and practiced meditation.

I actually... picked A for folowers because they had the most in common with the one in my mind. Even though they had different stems. You know, 3 had leaves in A. 3 Had round petals. I think these questions came from the book The Geography of Thought that discusses a lot of research on Asian and Western thought. Many of the studies the researchers used had questions like these.
I got 3 Asian. I'm not surprised since I grew up having a lot of Asian friends even though I'm an American mutt. I grew to love the Asian culture more when I found out I had a drop of Asian blood from mum side.
I got 3 eastern and 2 western and I'm as white as they come. I think part of the reason for my results is because I spent time in the military and was raised by a father who also spent time in the military so uniformity is drilled into my subconscious leading me to get eastern on the first two questions. On the third question I think I got western because I've been exposed to more western art than eastern art.
What doesn't make sense to me is question number four, the guy in the center has a huge smile on his face in both pictures, he clearly is happy. We don't know the story behind as for why he would be happy when others aren't (maybe he beat everyone else in a game! lol) but why would anyone think he is "sad" just because others are sad?... How can he be sad and have a huge smile on his face at the same time?
I picked stuff that show I am "Asian" but the reasons why I picked them tended to be for more Western reasons. The "which is in front" spaceship question I used perspective... but I chose the one closest to me... because I was assuming the ships were coming toward me. ie and Asian answer for very western reasons. All the other stuff I pretty much chose for Asian reasons... but I thought when i was doing it that I was being stereo typically white. The only one where I was off the wall was I thought the smiling guy surrounded by smiling people was unhappy because he looked phony. The smiling guy surrounded by angry people I thought was truly happy because he didn't give a crap what they thought. I'm half Chinese but was raised mostly by my white mother. As a westerner, I was in the middle between western and asian. For me the first instinct was to put the flowe in group A and also the monkey went with the bananas without a doubt. But in the spaceship test I chose the western perspective, the only one I wasn't really sure of what to choose was the cylinder, I actually kind of leaned towards neither of the two.

Some Asian, some western. I guess my Japanese-American wife and two adopted Korean children have been a greater influence on me than I realized.
Question #5: I can see the connection between panda and banana. Both end in the letter "a".
I actually... picked A for folowers because they had the most in common with the one in my mind.
Even though they had different stems. You know, 3 had leaves in A. 3 Had round petals. So to me it belonged in A.
So my western thought process led to an Asian answer! :)
As for third, to me, it's 3 coming towards me. So I had the western approach, and got the eastern answer again!

3 Asian, 2 Western. I'm not Asian but I was raised in an Asian culture.
I think these questions came from the book The Geography of Thought that discusses a lot of research on Asian and Western thought. Many of the studies the researchers used had questions like these.
I got 4 Asian and the "yes and yes" threw me out LOL
I paired the panda and banana as well as answering both parts of question four as "no."

Hispanics and Asians have very similar beliefs traditionally so I wasn't surprised I had an Asian mindset

I got 3 Asian. I'm not surprised since I grew up having a lot of Asian friends even though I'm an American mutt. I grew to love the Asian culture more when I found out I had a drop of Asian blood from mum side.
I got 3 eastern and 2 western and I'm as white as they come. I think part of the reason for my results is because I spent time in the military and was raised by a father who also spent time in the military so uniformity is drilled into my subconscious leading me to get eastern on the first two questions. On the third question I think I got western because I've been exposed to more western art than eastern art.
What doesn't make sense to me is question number four, the guy in the center has a huge smile on his face in both pictures, he clearly is happy. We don't know the story behind as for why he would be happy when others aren't (maybe he beat everyone else in a game! lol) but why would anyone think he is "sad" just because others are sad?... How can he be sad and have a huge smile on his face at the same time?
I picked stuff that show I am "Asian" but the reasons why I picked them tended to be for more Western reasons. The "which is in front" spaceship question I used perspective... but I chose the one closest to me... because I was assuming the ships were coming toward me. ie and Asian answer for very western reasons. All the other stuff I pretty much chose for Asian reasons... but I thought when i was doing it that I was being stereo typically white. The only one where I was off the wall was I thought the smiling guy surrounded by smiling people was unhappy because he looked phony. The smiling guy surrounded by angry people I thought was truly happy because he didn't give a crap what they thought. I'm half Chinese but was raised mostly by my white mother. I definitely grew up white... but I watched a lot of TVB and spent a lot of time in the Chinese community among people who didn't even speak English. I bet a lot of westerners could possibly get all "Asian" answers though.
As a westerner, I was in the middle between western and asian. For me the first instinct was to put the flowe in group A and also the monkey went with the bananas without a doubt. But in the spaceship test I chose the western perspective, the only one I wasn't really sure of what to choose was the cylinder, I actually kind of leaned towards neither of the two.
I'm definitely western.
