"That was fun" is exactly how I felt about this movie. Could've been better, more cleverly written, but on the whole it achieved something that was entertaining and a good mix of action and comedy.
Venom's hunger for brains is actually a biological thirst for phenethylamine, a compound the brain produces that positively affects mood. Which is a stimulant that symbiotes need to survive, they can't produce it naturally, and must acquire it from the human brain. Chocolate is another example of this compound. Also kinda disturbing to think about but what ever Venom eats Eddie pretty much eats. Venom just helps with its disposal and the constant spit that Venom is seen spitting out are the remains of the food he eats.

Venom is just a fun film. The sequel is even more fun. And they take a lot from one of my favourite runs of the comic- Costa 2016. Tom Hardy actually helped write the second, his performance is so much fun and I love how chaotic it is.

Honestly, I forgot how fun this movie was. It was overshadowed by my dissappointement with the villain, which I totally agree with Mickey on, and also that make out scene. it actually put me off from the movie as a whole for 2 reasons. The first was that it was kinda like the Pepper in Iron Man 3 thing, it felt like a fan fic moment that the movie coulda done without. Especially after hyping up the compatibility factor, it kinda ruins it to fuse her with Venom. Second was the kiss was just kinda gross LOL. BUT I did forget how great some of the action sequences were, how great Hardy's performance was and how cool Venom was (the character) despite him being a bit too comedic for my taste at the time. In hindsight, I think it would have been harder for people, especially new fans, to digest with him being the protagonist if Venom were only gruesome and threatening with no other factor to make him likeable, and honestly still having him eat a couple people balanced it out pretty well! Because Carnage is such a big villain, AND a complete psychopath, I think this next movie might rectify the issues I had with this one and make it even more fun. Woody Harrleson is such a good cast I think, and I think his absolute savagery will contrast well with the funnier but still dark Venom

I know I seem to over exaggerate about this thing that has nothing to do with the video, but I know people that went through that exact scenario, and it pisses me off to no end, like you broke up the engagement, and still you get to keep the ring to basically liquidate it for your benefit?! like wtf!?
