Thanks for the video WW! I bought the same machine at Walmart in Toronto branded as a "Kalorik" but there is almost zero information online under that brand name. The deal $89CAD was too good to pass up. I wanted to try out an air fryer so I could use the gas oven less often. I would have taken it back if all it was doing for me was increasing my french fry (chip!) intake... but I made perfect salmon and squash and decided it's a keeper. The hype is well-warranted! Great video well presented. As others said the Tower instruction book is as useful as a chocolate tea pot. One look at this and all became clear. Thanks for time and effort put into making it.
Many thanks for that. A rather counter intuitive operating procedure. I suspected it was faulty, but luckily found this video before complaining to the supplier. It's a source of bewilderment why manufacturers can make a complex well engineered product yet fail totally when it comes to the simple part, writing a decent manual.
I was thinking about buying the Ninja, then Amazon also suggested the Tower. Thanks for this video. It almost what Ninja does. Thanks for the clear explanation
Despite loving the ninja foodie, I won’t buy another. Had mine around 18 months and it’s no longer working, despite me using it correctly. Contacted ninja who won’t do anything because it’s outside of the year guarantee. Seems the ninja is another load of rubbish made in China. At least the Tower one is cheaper and has a 3 year guarantee.
Basically the same machine as the ASDA/GEORGE Black Dual Basket 9L Digital Air Fryer. Instruction booklet is no use nor ornament so this vid is very helpful thank you.
Thank you for your demo on how to use this tower double AirFryer, I just upgraded and bought this Tower Dual from Tescos here in UK. No instructions as such I had no idea where to put those lid like looking things then I see you put them inside the baskets and I was worried as they have those rubber bits on each corner on them . Took me awhile, but it did make myTofu nice and crisp happy about that.
Hi Thank you so much for your very helpful easy to follow video. I have purchased this is my elderly gas fan oven has packed up and I can not find anyone to fix it I have been very anxious about stating to use it as it looks so complicated on the digital control pane. In just minutes you have reassured me that it is basically very simple to use when you know what all the buttons mean and do.I asked loads of people before buying this and did some research and this had good reviews, very similar to the Ninja, but so much cheaper. I managed to get this for £94.95 from Amazon, Tesco also had Tower air Fryers on special offer recently for £79, not sure which model. I have subscribed to your channel and hope you cover thing like what dishes etc to use in the Air Fryer. We dont eat meat but do eat fish and make our own meat free burgers and othe meals, hoping we can use the air fryer to cook these. Thanks again so much. Will be keeping a close eye on yoyr chaneel Kind Regards Joy Cole
Hi Joy. Thanks for your lovely post, I am glad to be of help. I’ve got a few items on there being cooked in the air fryer and need to do more. Check out the home made pizza- one of my favourites and very easy.
@@wakeywarrior I just love your name and I will be checking out more of your videos, tonight 16/05/24 , thanks to your wonderful approach demistifying these gadgets I will be attempting to cook home made chips and some frozen youngs lightly dusted fish, If I am feeling bold I may add some garlic cloves in with the fish and a few mushrooms. Thanks so much again for giving me the confidence to switch the machine on. One of your very helpful comments noted that actually an Air Fryer is just an electric fan oven. We have solar panels and battery storage , so this should be a no brainer for us. PS the other very helpful tip was where to place the gadget as it blasts out hot air from the back, I dont want to melt my electric socket, such an important safety tip Kindest Regards Joy Cole
I've just bought this today and thought it was broken because I couldn't set time and temp on their own. I've used a similar air fryer before so I know how to set them and match cook/sync etc. Just needed someone to clarify you had to press a preset button first to set the time because the instructions make it seem like you can set time and temp on their own. Thanks for relieving my worry that I'd have to take it back 😊
We got one of these today. The most frustrating thing about the instructions is absolutely no explanation for what match cook or smart finish do. Nothing! This was useful, thanks
What a shining example of good technolgy with appalling instructions and controls more suited to a nuclear launch. Tower cannot possibly have tested this properly with new users or it would have been obvious the dog's breakfast of tiny control icons ,which must be pressed in the exact order ,needed urgent redesigning. Having been tempted to beat the thing to death with the nearest heavy object your video at least enabled me to cook a few chips which turned out not too bad. Thanks mate
Yes I agree it could be more user friendly but when you work it out and get used to it, it’s a great machine. Glad it helped David👍 The fact my video has had over 200,000 views and 2000 likes and hundreds of comments shows that perhaps Tower should re-write its instructions, or send me a cheque for saving hundreds being returned😂
thank you so much, its the 1st time of using the product and the instructions made no sense at all. But yr video was so clear and easy so I'll be able to now use it without any problems. So a big thank you once again x
Just bought this and as you say instructions are very very basic. After watching your video was able to work out how to cook my roast potatoes and Yorkshire puddings. Thanks.
I paid £83.00 for my tower 9litre Airfryer, it was on sale, I haven't used it yet, a bit scared of it if I am bing truthfull, but tyvm for your instructions, they are far easier to follow.
Thank you for this! I was literally on the computer to Amazon about to send this back because we couldn't get it to work! I have no idea why you would have to set a preset to start the bloody thing lol. Thank you for the instructions!
Thanks for the video. So easy to follow your excellent instructions - unlike the appalling leaflet supplied with the machine which was no help after all. At last, I can cook some chicken. Thanks again 😊
I watched this but didn't have the time to learn but I cooked my first roast chicken and ables and scones and thought it was going to be complicated! Simple and delicious especially the chicken and scones were better than cooking them in the oven. I will be watching this video to learn how to use both for cooking. Thanks.
@wakeywarrior Good afternoon and thank you. This weekend I will learn how to cook vegetables. Very glad I bought one at a big sale. I'll get around and learn how to use both baskets from your channel. 😀
Thank you so much for this! I've only used a ninja before and found this so confusing at the start due to the rubbish instructions as you correctly said! Your video is way better 👍
i purchased one with the see thru windows £150 so was pretty chuffed but i agree instructions were non existence took me roughly 1 hour to work all the functions out im now trying different cooking methods including baking i did do fried eggs and toast oh and i would recomend getting the silicone baskets for it makes cleaning so much easy
@wakeywarrior the silicone baskets *will* reduce the airflow. Another issue with them is, when you're cooking some greasy food (exactly when you'd want to use them!), instead of draining to the bottom of the drawer through the "crisper plate" holes, your food ends up swimming in the grease, absorbing it as it cooks. Exactly what one would want to avoid! So, to my mind, while silicone baskets would help with washing the baskets, they'd do one no favours as regards his/hers healthier cooking.
Thank you for your video - bought ours on Thurs and you are right manual is not user friendly. I have now subscribed to your other videos so thank you once again
ordered this air fryer a few days ago £150 with 20% off first order £130 , had a 4.5 litre single for about 3 years bought from asda for about £35 which just had two control knobs on it Temp and Time ,still works perfect but some of the dial numbers rubbed off over time so an excuse to upgrade it,, they are simply fantastic, joints of meat come out well better then the main oven, cheese on toast never been easier, do toast in a toaster put cheese on add into air fryer 2 mins check after 1 minute, just so simple.
Thank you so much for this video tutorial! Mine arrived today and I was really excited until I saw the instructions 😭 I was thinking of returning it but I’m really glad I found your video! I’m going to make some food now!! 😄
Great video many thanks! Could you help but im having problem removing the bottom tray basket to clean it seems solid and i don't want to break it any tups on how to remove them would be much appreciate.
Huge thanks. Received mine today, instructions aren’t very clear. I only wanted to cook chips and had no idea when you use the grill plates. Am I right they go in every time? The chips weren’t properly cooked (frozen) and could have done with more time. Now I know how to do that.
Yes plates every time, they allow air circulation underneath. Don’t use liners either. Don’t overfill the drawer and always give chips a shake half way through.
Dear Wakeywarrior , me again, as promised I said I would let you know how my very first attempt at cooking in this gadget went!! I am in my 70,s and not used to all the smart technology!!. Answering my smart phone has actually beaten me, keep pressing the button and nothing happens! Thanks to your lovely video my meal was a piece of p.... as the saying goes, wish I could send you a picture. Thanks for giving me the courage to step outside my comfort zone and just have a go. I just cant get over how simple you made it.. I am not going to bother with the double oven gas that wont work, just use the hob, Air fryer and Microwave, Makes sense when we have solar panels and battery storage Kind Regards again Joy Cole

Thanks for doing this video. I already have a Halogen oven but decided to treat myself to a Tower vortex vision that has seen through drawers so can see what is cooking in the drawers just unboxed it, it looks confusing the reason for watching your video.
Thanks for posting this video. I too found the instruction leaflet confusing and unhelpful. I feel pretty lucky, I picked my tower air fryer up for £99 from Amazon
Thank you, sooo helpful. i gave in and bought this the other day ( bargain, amazon £78). didn't have a scobie how to set up a manual cook... as you say the instructions provided are useless.
Thank you! Bought this today . Had the Tower single basket one which I loved and I am loving this one already ! . As you say, instructions were hopeless. I figured out most of it except how to get basket 2 started when I was using basket one lol Thanks again. x
Just got a Emtronics 9L Dual Fryer and found comparing to my Neighbors Tower (the model in your video) and they are the same machine. The baskets and the lower section they sit are exactly the same. The only real difference is the cosmetic shape/design and the top section where the controls are but the controls operate exactly the same apart that the row of icons are different ie the EMtronics has ‘airfry, bake , broil', etc instead of actual types of foods. I totally agree the instructions are sparse to say the least and yes it is confusing to operate the first few times you use it. (too much flashing going to take it all in). I have found once you get used to it, it is very easy to use and after a few days of use very happy with it. Great video. I wonder how many different makes of machines come out if the same factory in China?
Loads I suspect. If you look at the two walled drawer construction and how it’s put together it’s also remarkably similar to the Ninja dual drawer as well.
Thanks for the video mate. Just bought one of these and it says you don’t need to use the presets but I’m unable to merely choose temperature or cooking time manually. I have to choose one of the presets and then adjust manually, but the manual does say that you don’t need to use the dryer that way. Any ideas?
Many thanks for the review. Am I correct in thinking that the instructions are misleading? You can not manually select time and temp without selecting a preset first?
Hi! Thanks for this - leapt into the air fryer craze and bought one, and - as you say - the instructions are bollocks. Looked at a few reviews and yours was easily the most instructive, so many thanks. One thing - How do I grill with it? Can’t see a grill function per se…?
It’s all a grill. It’s basically a heating element with a power fan. Despite all the buttons and supposed modes- The only setting changes are how hot the element gets, and how long it cooks for. So to get more grilled appearance to food, keep it at higher end such as 200 degrees. Thanks for watching.
Same as everyone else here..... I couldn't work out how to use after reading instructions do basically left it on the kitchen side for months now untill I came across this video. One last thing, it seems you don't need to preheat as it's direct heat from the get go? Many thanks
Cheers Sean, glad it helped. Now get using that airfryer! Because of the direct blast of heat I never bother pre heating mine, not found it necessary although you can do, and some give it 2 mins.
Thanks so much for this .. had no idea how to do it manually without the preset menu .. can someone please tell me if you can use drawer 2 without drawer one ?
Just recently bought one and got the feeling the instructions were written by a foreigner. However, now I'm cracking along with it. Just cooked 'toad in the hole' for tea, it was pretty good.

Thank you just using mine and was getting so confused. Your a star for doing this video xx the instructions you get with machine are a bit confusing
Glad to help Darleen.
Thanks for this guide. Having just got one I thought it was broken as the working didn’t seem logical but I’ve got it now! Thanks again.
Glad it helped Martin, thanks for commenting.
Yes the rubber is silicone so don’t worry- it won’t melt. Glad it helped!
Will be keeping a close eye on yoyr chaneel
Kind Regards
Joy Cole
PS the other very helpful tip was where to place the gadget as it blasts out hot air from the back, I dont want to melt my electric socket, such an important safety tip
Kindest Regards
Joy Cole
I've just bought this today and thought it was broken because I couldn't set time and temp on their own. I've used a similar air fryer before so I know how to set them and match cook/sync etc. Just needed someone to clarify you had to press a preset button first to set the time because the instructions make it seem like you can set time and temp on their own. Thanks for relieving my worry that I'd have to take it back 😊
Glad we got you up and running Angel!
We got one of these today. The most frustrating thing about the instructions is absolutely no explanation for what match cook or smart finish do. Nothing! This was useful, thanks
Cheers Jamie 👍
What a shining example of good technolgy with appalling instructions and controls more suited to a nuclear launch. Tower cannot possibly have tested this properly with new users or it would have been obvious the dog's breakfast of tiny control icons ,which must be pressed in the exact order ,needed urgent redesigning. Having been tempted to beat the thing to death with the nearest heavy object your video at least enabled me to cook a few chips which turned out not too bad. Thanks mate
Yes I agree it could be more user friendly but when you work it out and get used to it, it’s a great machine. Glad it helped David👍
The fact my video has had over 200,000 views and 2000 likes and hundreds of comments shows that perhaps Tower should re-write its instructions, or send me a cheque for saving hundreds being returned😂
thank you so much, its the 1st time of using the product and the instructions made no sense at all. But yr video was so clear and easy so I'll be able to now use it without any problems. So a big thank you once again x
Good one Roley- it makes it worthwhile me doing videos when I get this feedback 👍
Just ordered one of these today & heard the instructions weren’t great so this is really helpful thanks 😊
You will like it. Keep your eyes peeled for my new video, roast chicken and fried paprika potatoes 5 mins prep, coming soon.
@@wakeywarrior it arrived today and I love it ! Already cooked fries & chipolatas in it and they came out lovely. So much better than the oven
Just bought this and as you say instructions are very very basic. After watching your video was able to work out how to cook my roast potatoes and Yorkshire puddings. Thanks.
Good stuff Keith, enjoy those puds. See my other airfryer vids and subscribe so you can catch future ones. Cheers!
Thank You so much. Just bought one. Couldn't make head or tail of instructions and found your video on here.
Glad it helped you Angie.
Was really struggling to work out the manual mode, seems like they could’ve added a manual override button, thanks for this was a huge help
It’s a pleasure Oli.
Thanks for this ! The smart finish was doing my head in, but you've made it easy. Mine is a different make, but looks and operates exactly the same.
Glad it helped metaldaduk.
I paid £83.00 for my tower 9litre Airfryer, it was on sale, I haven't used it yet, a bit scared of it if I am bing truthfull, but tyvm for your instructions, they are far easier to follow.
Hopefully the video helps you to get stuck in with using it. It’s easy when you get used to it. Good luck 👍
Thank you for this! I was literally on the computer to Amazon about to send this back because we couldn't get it to work! I have no idea why you would have to set a preset to start the bloody thing lol. Thank you for the instructions!
Yes once you get used to it, it becomes second nature but it’s far from clear when you first get it. Glad to help.
You are a godsend. Terrible instruction manual. Thank you for taking the time to make this video. Much appreciated! X
Great to read it helped Ceri. Cheers- WW.
Cooked my first dinner in my new tower air fryer in it it was superb thanks for you r great tips on how to use it thankyou
Great to hear you are using it well Dawn👍
Thanks for this, I was getting a headache try to cook fish fingers!! I've learned a lot in a short space of time. Better instructions needed.
Enjoy the fish fingers Jackie!
Oh this saved my temper rising today! Thank you for doing this video as the instructions didn't explain much. It's good when you know how isn't it 💯🥰
Yes it is good, but instructions need improvement. Glad my video is helping people, thanks for watching Jayne.
Thanks for the video. So easy to follow your excellent instructions - unlike the appalling leaflet supplied with the machine which was no help after all. At last, I can cook some chicken. Thanks again 😊
Glad it helped Alison.
Thanks for this video! I was given one of these without any instructions. Looking forward to trying it out.
@@andii9183 they don’t come new with much in the way of instruction which is why I think this video is heading for 400k views! Glad it helped.
I watched this but didn't have the time to learn but I cooked my first roast chicken and ables and scones and thought it was going to be complicated! Simple and delicious especially the chicken and scones were better than cooking them in the oven. I will be watching this video to learn how to use both for cooking. Thanks.
@@davidlibline1757 Sounds like you have done great so far.
@wakeywarrior
Good afternoon and thank you. This weekend I will learn how to cook vegetables. Very glad I bought one at a big sale. I'll get around and learn how to use both baskets from your channel. 😀
THANK YOU SO MUCH, I HAVE BEEN STRUGGLING. HELPFUL ❤
Glad to assist Betty, hopefully you are up and running now.
Thank you for taking the time to upload this video, It has been a great help thank you
Glad it was helpful Patrick.
Appreciate this video mate, it should be the official tower tutorial! Thank you ❤
Cheers Brad!
Thank you so much for this! I've only used a ninja before and found this so confusing at the start due to the rubbish instructions as you correctly said! Your video is way better 👍
Cheers Kedge!
i purchased one with the see thru windows £150 so was pretty chuffed but i agree instructions were non existence took me roughly 1 hour to work all the functions out im now trying different cooking methods including baking
i did do fried eggs and toast oh and i would recomend getting the silicone baskets for it makes cleaning so much easy
I thought about the silicone baskets but I’m slightly worried it stops the air circulation underneath - any issues?
Thanks Christine, roast chicken one is now up.
Just got this model and used this video to help teach us how the hell to use it !! Cheers man x
I problem at all Ricky, enjoy the unit.
Thank you for posting this.
Awful instructions included and I genuinely thought it was faulty at first.
Good to hear you score it so highly though.
Marching on Together… glad to help!
😮your amazing! I got this today and watched your video its brilliant and you've made it so simple to use. THANK YOU.
Glad it helped!
ordered this air fryer a few days ago £150 with 20% off first order £130 , had a 4.5 litre single for about 3 years bought from asda for about £35 which just had two control knobs on it Temp and Time ,still works perfect but some of the dial numbers rubbed off over time so an excuse to upgrade it,, they are simply fantastic, joints of meat come out well better then the main oven, cheese on toast never been easier, do toast in a toaster put cheese on add into air fryer 2 mins check after 1 minute, just so simple.
Agree Master, since I have got it I’ve used it almost every day.
Just bought mi e direct from Tower £99.99 special offer this week
@@christineclark3686 Great bargain!
Thank you so much for this video tutorial! Mine arrived today and I was really excited until I saw the instructions 😭 I was thinking of returning it but I’m really glad I found your video! I’m going to make some food now!! 😄
Nice to hear Mariam.
Great video many thanks! Could you help but im having problem removing the bottom tray basket to clean it seems solid and i don't want to break it any tups on how to remove them would be much appreciate.
@@foxi54321 you mean the grille at the bottom? Just pull it out you cannot break it so use a bit of force if it’s jammed in.
Thanks for this-was very helpful as I couldn't figure out how to adjust manually.
Glad it helped Sue.
Dear Wakeywarrior ,
me again, as promised I said I would let you know how my very first attempt at cooking in this gadget went!!
I am not going to bother with the double oven gas that wont work, just use the hob, Air fryer and Microwave, Makes sense when we have solar panels and battery storage
Kind Regards again
Joy Cole
Great to hear the solar will make cooking free Joy. Thanks for watching the channel.
Brilliant video thanx. Didn't know where to start with the instruction manual. So easy now you've explained it all ❤
Cheers Steve, very glad to have been of assistance.
Subscribed with pleasure mate 👍
Thank you for this, I got my airfryer today and your right the booklet does not help, this was so helpful.
Glad it helped Justin.
Thank you for this video I found it difficult to change the times. Thanks to this video found it a big help.
I’m very pleased to see my video is still helping people nearly 18 months on and 300k views later Michael. Thanks for watching and commenting and enjoy the air fryer.
Thank you so much for putting this video up. You have really explained it perfectly. Thank you again.
Thanks for the kind words Pepe.
Thank you. If they elaborated on the fact that the settings are just presets of times and temps, it would be much easier. Just made some pasties in it and they're absolutely bangin!
Glad it helped and enjoy the pasties!
Big help that video . Mines there since May and I couldn’t be bothered reading instructions 😊
@@cathaldowdall7467 glad it helped Cathal. I notice the Airfryer seems very popular in the Republic, a huge number there have watched this video according to my stats.
Thankyou so much for this video ! I have just bought this air fryer and going to use it today, now I know how to use it. Merry Christmas 🎅 🎄 XxxxXxxx
Glad to be helpful Mrs Taylor, happy Christmas to you too.
Thanks a lot! Just bought my son one of these. Your instructions are great!
Glad it was helpful Carole, please subscribe so you can see easy cooks on the airfryer. Roast Chicken and potatoes coming this week.

Phew!......so glad I found this.....had mine delivered today and as you say the instructions are useless. Was beginning to panic....lol....so thanks for this great review.
Good stuff Toni👍 Enjoy the fryer, it is great.
Thanks for doing this video. I already have a Halogen oven but decided to treat myself to a Tower vortex vision that has seen through drawers so can see what is cooking in the drawers just unboxed it, it looks confusing the reason for watching your video.
Glad I could help Susan !
Thanks for posting this video. I too found the instruction leaflet confusing and unhelpful. I feel pretty lucky, I picked my tower air fryer up for £99 from Amazon
Thanks Jan- £99 is a bargain.
Instructions are poor but your video simplified it all. Thank you 😁
Thanks Bob, glad it was helpful.👍
I have brought one just on your videos & I appreciate your optics 👍
Great thanks.
Great video, really easy to follow. I got mine got £75 in a sale which I feel is fantastic value.
Wow £75 cheapest yet. A steal at this price I should buy a few for back ups. The instructions are crappy but the product is fantastic.
just bought one this video was very helpful Thank you
@@griffpop1 glad it helped Griff.
Thank you, sooo helpful. i gave in and bought this the other day ( bargain, amazon £78). didn't have a scobie how to set up a manual cook... as you say the instructions provided are useless.
@@TjVoller-n6m wow that price is good, they were £200 when I got mine in the height of air fryer frenzy. Bargain. Glad it helped.
I just got this unit yesterday and I'll be trying it out tonight.
Enjoy the unit Tarni.
Thanks for your video. Could you please introduce the basket's dimensions, like length, width, and depth?
I did this on the comments I think Robin, take a look down the early ones. If it isn’t there let me know and I’ll do it.
Thank you! Bought this today . Had the Tower single basket one which I loved and I am loving this one already ! . As you say, instructions were hopeless. I figured out most of it except how to get basket 2 started when I was using basket one lol Thanks again. x
Glad to be of help Safka.
Brilliant. I can finally cook with it thanks. Agreed, the instructions are so vague that I needed youtube to help 👍🏻.
Good one Roogle.
Thanks your video has been helpful as I am in the process of buying one and I wanted to see if it was worth it or not. Thanks
It’s a great piece of kit Michelle, we use ours daily since we got it. My parents bought one and they love it too.
Nice that it’s quiet definitely a plus for me in a small flat. Thanks for the post very helpful 👍👌🙏
Glad to help
Any ideas?
Just use it like I show in the video Silver and forget the manual. Good luck👍
Many thanks for the review. Am I correct in thinking that the instructions are misleading? You can not manually select time and temp without selecting a preset first?
@@GordonDivine7 not sure id they are misleading as I took one look and threw them away, but yes you need to select a preset first then adjust it.
Thank you for this video it has explained everything I didn't understand about the machine.
You are welcome Beverly. Thanks for watching.
Yes just press 2 first then start it going as usual, and only 2 will heat up.
Just recently bought one and got the feeling the instructions were written by a foreigner. However, now I'm cracking along with it. Just cooked 'toad in the hole' for tea, it was pretty good.
I know a Mark Allen, trust you are not the same one😂
Glad you found it helpful Mark and enjoy the Toad in the Hole.
Thank you for the video that was really helpful and I’m sure I will keep referring to this whilst I get used to using the air fryer.
Glad it helped.
