In the summer of 68 we moved from Akrotiri to Syerston. The Red Arrows seemed to have followed us. I was walking over the empty football fields to the NAAFI when they decided to do a mass low pass. I don't think they'd seen the 12 year old in the middle of the field. I kept on walking as if it was a daily occurrence but it was damned impressive. I get the goosebumps recalling that few seconds over 50 years ago. Never, ever disband them.
