WOW!! Lighthouse. This brings back memories. I remember my late older brother bringing home a copy of their album "One Fine Morning" and telling me that I need to listen to this band. It was completely different to what I was listening to back then. I still have that album in my collection. Thank you for this
The video is awesome, especially after the long break. Uriah Heep's Salisbury is a great powerful prog rock song ahead of their time. Another song would be A Return to Fantasy.
As you know I'm a great ' Yes' man, but before I discovered them The Heep were my favourite band. David Byron was perhaps the greatest rock singer on the planet. Their best 3 albums are Look at Yourself, Demons and Wizards and The Magician's Birthday. But you two are infectious keep up your good work. Only David as the lead singer.
YESSSS the long awaited moment has come ... welcome back my friends with your show that hopefully never ends ... or at least not in the next years .... ok, now I'll listen .... never heard of Lighthouse, but liked it with the horns and everything. Come away Melinda is actually more untypical for Uriah Heep, since it's very quiet without keyboard, which is a major part of Heep's sound. Other than that it's not written by Uriah Heep and fun fact is, that another british band, UFO, had this song on their first album as well, not as nice sung, because David Byron was an outstanding singer with his clear voice and I love his english pronounciation ... but UFO has an astonishing end to the song. Continuing with Bird of prey - this is THE Uriah Heep sound which you could on the first albums. Circus goes back to the softer side .... beautiful song, but I still like the rockers better ... but don't say titles ... waiting for the next marathons. So this was a great start of the return of Nicknlex❤🤟WE'VE MISSED YOU TOO LONG
Actually, "Come Away Melinda" does have a keyboard. It's a Mellotron, an instrument where each key on the keyboard triggers a tape that is connected to a roll with springs. When you play a note, the tape moves up to the top of the roll and when it reaches the top, it doesn't play anymore. It has an 8-second time limit. When you release the key, the tape quickly returns to the bottom of the roll, It can be made to sound like a flute, strings, or brass. The Moody Blues used it a lot between 1967-1972. King Crimson used it a lot on the first four albums between 1969-1971; Tony Banks used it for the introduction to "Watcher Of The Skies" The Beatles used it on "Strawberry Fields Forever". I can't put the link here, so just look up the video "Mike Pinder describes how the Mellotron works".
I love watching the two of you enjoying the great oldies. The 60s and 70s had the absolute best music. I'm 64, and always put those tunes on to get my groove on,, dancin' 🎶🔥🎶
Can't say enough about the apex of Uriah Heep, the LP's Look at Yourself, Demons and Wizards, and The Magicians Birthday are all stellar. Nick nailed the Lighthouse comparison to Chicago, another band in a similar genre was Blood Sweat and Tears.
Очень рад, что и нынешняя современная молодёжь сейчас познаёт нашу любимую музыку - от реальных ветеранов рока 70-ых! Удачи вам и счастья! / I am very glad that today's modern youth will now learn our favorite music - from real rock veterans of the 70s! Good luck and happiness!
Well that was a lot of fun guys! While I was very aware of Uriah Heep in the early 70's, I never got into them. I don't know why, I suppose I was too busy with all the other great bands of the day. As you said Nick, there was so much music coming out every week and I never managed to spend quality time with them. This, then, was so nice to listen to, and I had forgotten all about David Byron's dramatic vocals. Thanks for a very tasty selection from what I'm sure was a very large discography! Horn driven bands like Lighthouse and Chicago aren't really my thing, but thanks a lot for the great Uriah Heep music. A cool pre-Spain video!!!
Very enjoyable to watch your reaction to two bands I listened to when I was young. Uriah Heep has a lot of diversity in their sound over the years, lots of line up changes. The Heep have been touring this year and they sound Great!
Always nice to see young people react to music from the"not so long ago"past. I was twelve when I got the album "Return To Fantasy". I got hooked. Demons And Wizards came next. Maybe you should try "Salisbury". It is an amazing album with brass in the proggy titlesong. Cheers!
Hi Guys ! So glad you waited till you got home before posting this. Just knowing you are much happier makes this video even more enjoyable. This is so good with Uriah Heep. A great choice of tracks. The 1st time I heard "Come Away Melinda" I could have sworn blind it was Ian Gillan on vocals. I was already fully aware Uriah Heep were heavily influenced by Deep Purple, using the same Hammond organ and of course David Byron's screams like Gillan, but that track was so like Gillan, I even told friends ..in the 70's ... What if Gillan knew, and appeared as a guest vocalist on one track and never let on ? ... It was Byron, but hey ..I was a teenager, and a very big Deep Purple fan, so knew Gillans vocals so well...yet Byrons vocals fooled me. Also notice in 1973 as well as Deep Purple changing their line up, they introduced a synth sound, very dominant with their album "Burn" ....and low and behold ... so did Uriah Heep at the same time, even with the same tones. Good eh ? Great rock band and "Uriah Heep Live 1973" album is really something to check out as well.. Thankyou both for this great marathon. Loved it ! Byeee Jim X
The Heep was my first concert ever. Nick, your Mom rocks! I lost my Mom on September 29th, and just put my Dad in Assisted Living last month. Life is too short. Let's start rocking some URIAH HEEP!!! Most underrated band ever!!!
Welcome back. I'm glad you were able to get mom the help she needed. Uriah Heep is one of my favorite 70's bands. I saw them at the Academy of Music in NYC 1971. They were even better live. My favorite is Salisbury. It's 16 minutes long with a number of tempo changes and holds you the whole way. Another great song is Look at Yourself.
So happy to see your smiling faces again! "One Fine Morning" was a favorite of mine in high school. A local band played it, (and I had a crush on the trumpet player!) I used to play and sing it on the piano (just at home, but couldn't play more than the first 8 bars of the solo!) I never got into Uriah Heep, but I did enjoy "Circus." Looking forward to new requests opening up!! 🎵❤️🎵
Great Marathon! Other songs: "July Morning"( the long version), one of the best rock songs of all time! And gems like "Look At Yourself and "Easy Living", among others. "July Morning" is a must!
I remember that Lighthouse tune : ) Chicago and Blood, Sweat, and Tears, and Lighthouse were bringing us these sounds!!! I'd love to see the footage of this performance.
Nick, the great lead singer is David Byron, King Diamond's favourite singer (and his favourite band) and King even named his son Byron after him. Also, the bassplayer featured on the last track is John Wetton (King Crimson, UK, Asia).
The last time I saw King Diamond live, Uriah Heep was playing through the loudspeakers before the show. It was AWESOME to hear them played in so loudly in an arena. I didn't know Byron was his favorite singer but it makes sense now.
I have all 10 Uriah Heep albums that were released from 1970 to 1976. Those were the years original lead vocalist David Byron was in the band. There's Uriah Heep (1970), Salisbury (1971), Look At Yourself (1971), Demons And Wizards (1972), The Magician's Birthday (1972), Uriah Heep Live (1973), Sweet Freedom (1973), Wonderworld (1974), Return To Fantasy (1975), and High And Mighty (1976). Out of all those albums, my favorite track is "Wake Up (Set Your Sights)" from the debut album. Check that one out first and then the title track from Salisbury, which is their longest song and has an orchestra backing them up. Uriah Heep was best known in the US for 1972's "Easy Livin" from Demons And Wizards and 1973's "Stealin" from Sweet Freedom.. As for Lighthouse, I have all eight studio albums from 1969 to 1974. They are Lighthouse (1969), Suite Feeling (1969), Peacing It All Together (1970), One Fine Morning (1971), Thoughts Of Movin' On (1971), Sunny Days (1972), Can You Feel It (1973) and Good Day (1974). The first three albums were with vocalist Victor "Pinky" Dauvin, the next three were with Bob McBride, and the last two were split between drummer Skip Prokop and guitarist Ralph Cole. One Fine Morning was their most successful album. Lighthouse had a 1996 reunion album called Song Of The Ages, but I only liked the title track and didn't care for the rest of that album. So I don't have that one. I don't have Live At Carnegie Hall from 1972 either. One thing that makes Lighthouse different from other horn rock bands is they not only had a horn section, they also had a string section. They had up to 13 members and it was often difficult to get the whole band on stage.
Love your show. I lived in England 1969-72. I would go and see Uriah Heep, Free, Spenser Davis band, and many more at a local (Colchester) Civic Center. Recommendations, Uriah Heep "Salsibury" title cut, Free Live "Mr. Big". Epics!! (great bass work by Andy Fraser and of course Paul Cosoff guitar and Paul Rogers vocals. For the brilliance of Jimi Hendex, Band of Gypsys "Machine Gun". #nicknlexrequest
Nick and Lex, all of your choices were very good. Some would say this was a sampling of their heyday. But this period only covers their first six albums - Very 'eavy, Very 'umble, Salisbury, Look at Yourself, Demons and Wizards, and Sweet Freedom. There are 24 studio albums and about 20 Live albums so you have a lot of catching up to do. If you continue with the first six albums might I suggest Lady in Black (a ballad), Salisbury (a 16 minute prog rock masterpiece), Look at Your Self, Tears in my Eyes.
I HAVE ALWAYS LOVED THIS SONG, something so totally elegant is that I lived near a aerie of red tail hawks, (very romantic birds ) and this is so like their cry. So fitting for the free flight woman who does not fancy being just a pet
The first tour of Rush with Neal Peart was opening for the Uriah Heep 1974 "Wonderworld " tour. I guess that Rush listened very well to what Uriah Heep did on stage .
Love me some Heep! I also have a wonderful Uriah marathon ready to go! Lee killed it with his selections! I know this is before your travels, but it so awesome to see you guys back on the horse. Love to see newer reactions. Hope all is well with you two. Love and respect!
So happy to hear from you. I still owe you 2 marathons! You can email me whenever you want. We are making some small changes to the room but I can record those as soon as you want. So glad you're back too!
Hi Greybeard, good to see you back on the channel. So now we can look forward to your Heep marathon ... the only song, which I wouldn't like to hear is Lady in black ... played to death on german radio 😆
@@NicknLexYes I had some pretty serious health issues last couple months with pneumonia and a serious upper respiratory infection, but I'm right as rain again, so please no worries. I did send you a couple back before you left, but you had so much going on my brother. If they got lost in the fold, not to worry my dear friend, I will compile a couple great marathons to commemorate your triumphant return! Love you guys, and talk soon.
Hi Franck, having basicly read no comments for 2 months, I forgot where your musical journey started, I'm sure you mentioned it before. Since Uriah Heep was one of the first 5 LPs of my brother, it's for me music of the beginning of my musical education. Now I'm wondering what you think about Uriah Heep .... there are so many great songs
@@rudolfbecker4313 my favorite bands, in the 80s: A-HA, Bon Jovi. 90s, Tori Amos, Guns N Roses, Weezer, No Doubt, Rush, Jorane & Groovy Aardvark. 2000s Linkin Park, Rise Against, 2010s: 2Cellos, 2020s: Jinjer & Noé Lira. I still listen to almost all of those bands, old stuff and new. Gypsy & Easy Living are the 2 songs I know from Uriah Heep, but I had no idea they were singing them…. Guide me to what I should listen next from them!
@@franckthibault2521 I started right away next morning, diving into the "Heep catalogue" and for sure you can't go wrong with the Demons&Wizards album (containing easy livin) - all killer, no filler - maybe their best. Of the Look at yourself album you should know the title track, July morning and Shadows of grief ... more to come 🤘 Having started in the 70s, my musical journey is a little different, but I like A-HA, the beginnings of Bon Jovi, before he started turned me off; I was surely one of the first germans, knowing Guns N Roses ... and Rush is for sure in my Top 10 bands. Linkin Park and Rise against is more my son's music and I'm astonished, that you have Jinjer in your list. They are a band, you just have to adore, there's so much to tell about them ... maybe a subject for future music discussions ...👍
That Lighthouse song was lying dormant in the very back-est reaches of my tiny brain. But once the verse hit, I was like OH YEAH I remember this! It's a great song. It reminds me a bit of Vehicle by Ides of March.
Nick n Lex, When it comes to Uriah Heep and their full catalog of material, this was more like a sprint. As a fan for 50+ years, believe me, they were far ahead of their time. You guys noted that they could cover almost any genre and do it well. The Rock & Roll medley off of the 1973 live album is proof; they covered a few fifty's era classics. Please do not ignore the music after Byron. I could try to detail my favorites out of 25 albums, but the list would be too long. The current lineup with Bernie Shaw on vocals is equally as good as the '70's version, but obviously different. Just sample some of the songs off Living the Dream, or Wake the Sleeper, or Sea of Light (Roger Dean cover btw). You won't be disappointed. The recommendations below are all good too, so enjoy.
In the USA, Very 'Eavy, Very 'Umble was simply titled 'Uriah Heep' as it was their first album release in the states. Nigel Olson plays drums on a few tracks. Nigel was in Elton John's band later up to the 'Captain Fantastic' album.
So glad to see this, after your absence. It's cool that you are editing and releasing videos from before you went to Spain and Germany. I know what Lex means with Come Away Melinda reminding her of Moody Blues. Me too, especially when the background vocals come in for the second to last verse. It's a great song, one that I've always loved. Great reaction.
If you and Lex are reminded of the Moody Blues, it's no doubt that it's because of the Mellotron. This was the Moody Blues' main keyboard instrument from 1967-1972.
@@rajaz4054 Yes that Mellotron string sound has something to do with it, and the arrangement style, but mostly it's because of the background vocals, which are very much like the Moodys. At least that's when I got definite Moody Blues vibes.
Always happy to see the lesser known songs here - it´s a nice selection, showing different styles - Come Away Milinda is actually a cover, but totaly diffrent than the folk song it´s based on. Many tried this one in the late 60s eary 70s - From Judy Collins to UFO, but the only one that catpures this melancholy sadness of the lyrics for me, is the Heep version - Read them, it´s not just a "nice" song, it´s actually the oposit... Bird of Prey is a great track, played live for years after. And while many consider Look at Your Self, Demons and Wizards & Magicans Birthday as the 3 Great Heep Records, for me, Sweet Freedom belongs in this list - No weak track an that one... Beautiful Dream has John Wetton of King Crimson and Asia on Bass... Critics hated that on but it was as far as i know their best selling record in the UK ... Great Album too... The more dominant heavy Bass on the first 2 Track was Paul Newton, Founder Member of Heep who left after the 3rd record. On Circus it´s Gary Thain Playing - a much mor technical Bass player and by many considered as their best - sadly past away much too young. For more Heep variations, go on further the Timeline - "The Hanging Tree" with John Lawton on Vocals, Maybee "It Ain´t Easy" A great track from the universaly hated Conquest record with John Slowman singing. "Sell Your Soul" from the Metal Record Aboming "Misstress of All Time", a great acustic track from the 90s with Bernie Show and "Between Two Worlds" from Sonic Origami - A track the than active Lineup dedicated to their first Singer David Byron.
❤URIAH HEEP THE BEST BAND HARD ROCK SIEMPRE LO FUE LO ES Y LO SERA SALUDOS DEL PATOROCK SANTIAGO DE CHILE 🇨🇱 .OBVIO QUE CIRCUS LOS DEJO SIN HABLAR JAJAJA
Lighthouse was another great Canadian band. My former next door neighbor's brother was one of the bass players. He may have played on this album or started on the next one, not sure.
Can I make a request? I would love to see you highlight ELPs Karn Evil 9 1st and 2nd impressions from “Brain Salad Surgery.” Thank you for your consideration. I love your channel. Have a wonderful day guys.
IMHO, Salisbury is their best album. The four songs on the first side are awesome. Their order is perfect. The Park is my favorite Uriah Heep song. Check it out.
Just subscribed recently, but I've had my eye on you two. You're younger than my kids; but I'm proud of the way you've handled the situation with Nick's mother. I'm 70 and I'm dealing with growing old.enjoy your youth; it goes by in a blink. Being a professional musician, I can turn you on to so much cool music, but I'm not sure how to make a request. If you like Uriah Heep, start out with Demons and Wizards. Also check out Jimmie Spheeris from the mid seventies. Start out with the Dragon is dancing. I love metal, but eclectic musical choices will diffently ex land your mind!
Funny you should mention King Diamond. David Byron, Heep’s singer, is King’s favorite singer (mine too incidentally). I think he even named his son after David.
Regarding Bird Of Prey, there is an older version that was included on the U.S version of the band's debut album (simply titled Uriah Heep here) which had a different track listing from the U.K. release, Very Eavy Very Umble. It's actually a better version too, but for some reason they re-recorded it for the U.K. version of their second album, Salisbury--which also has a different track listing from the U.S. release. After the first two albums all subsequent Uriah Heep releases had identical song lineups in the U.S. and U.K. Here's a link to the original Bird Of Prey.... ruclips.net/video/sO_QHTbYkUc/видео.html
The first two albums are not my fav's and I only really like Gypsy and Lady in Black. But after that I like all the albums up to and including 'High and Mighty' The Demons and Wizards album will probably always be my favorite UH album. My fav line up is Box, Hensley, Byron, Kerslake and Thain followed by Box, Hensley, Byron, Kerslake and Wetton The 'Look at Yourself' album is when UH really started getting noticed and more popular.
OOPS, finished to early ... But ... I have to say immediately, Uriah Heep without David Byron wasn't the same anymore. I have clear rankings when bands have more than 1 singer : Deep Purple with Ian Gillan, Black Sabbath with Ozzy, Rainbow with Dio, AC/DC with Bon Scott, Priest with Rob Halford, Maiden with Bruce and so on ... The new singer of Uriah Heep was John Lawton, before with german band Lucifers friend, to which you reacted before. PS : Alexia wins the T-shirt contest 😂 red is my favourite colour and flowers look better than just letters ...😉👍
Pretty much stopped listening to Uriah Heep after the line up of Box, Hensley, Byron, Keslake and Wetton. Been curious about the 'Firefly' album, but never listened to it. Ken Hensley just died not too long ago. Although he played keyboards he also played Slide Guitar even though Bick Box is the main guitarist. Ken Hensley is very underrated Slide Guitarist..

Ides Of March were in this realm, too, no?
Очень рад, что и нынешняя современная молодёжь сейчас познаёт нашу любимую музыку - от реальных ветеранов рока 70-ых! Удачи вам и счастья! / I am very glad that today's modern youth will now learn our favorite music - from real rock veterans of the 70s! Good luck and happiness!
Sunflower earrings, sunflower ring, sunflower shirt, and a sunflower personality. Lex has really stepped up her game this time.
LIGHTHOUSE - especially the first three RCA Albums - is A Group which begs for Your Attention 💕💕💕💕💕
They are one of the best groups ever. Very influential. Hear them in many, many others.
Very enjoyable to watch your reaction to two bands I listened to when I was young.
Uriah Heep has a lot of diversity in their sound over the years, lots of line up changes.
The Heep have been touring this year and they sound Great!
Chicago vibes here with Lighthouse too. Nice! Heep is my childhood here. No discussion. And both of you are so cute.
LIGHTHOUSE!!! Growing up in Canada they were a permanent fixture on 70s AM radio. Love IT!
Always nice to see young people react to music from the"not so long ago"past. I was twelve when I got the album "Return To Fantasy". I got hooked. Demons And Wizards came next. Maybe you should try "Salisbury". It is an amazing album with brass in the proggy titlesong. Cheers!
At 66yrs. Old I was fortunate enough to see many of these bands! Y'all will also like Wishbone Ash. Try the Argus album.
Uriah Heep rocks! Especially those albums before the Live album.
ETA: First song - Lighthouse - One Fine Morning
UH, the loudest band I ever saw. In '76. Ears rang for days. Loved it.
Right?!?
Going to a music store with rows and rows of albums was something that I hope someday you'll experience.
1st band I saw live back in 1974 ...Brilliant
Lighthouse Live, 1972, and UH Live 1973 are Must Have's.
Thanks Debra!! It’s so good to be back!! ❤️
UH is one of my favorite band. I had the fortune to see them twice , the last time was with 2 of my kids.. Melinda is one of my favorite songs
Just a heads up, Uriah Heep are releasing their 25th studio album early 2023. They are still together producing music.
Right Philip. I just heard "Hurricane" yesterday & it's great. If the rest of the LP is as good we have platinum Heep!
One fine morning, was a favorite song of me !! Nobody knew it.
Nick, the great lead singer is David Byron, King Diamond's favourite singer (and his favourite band) and King even named his son Byron after him.
Also, the bassplayer featured on the last track is John Wetton (King Crimson, UK, Asia).
WOW thanks for the info!!!
The last time I saw King Diamond live, Uriah Heep was playing through the loudspeakers before the show. It was AWESOME to hear them played in so loudly in an arena. I didn't know Byron was his favorite singer but it makes sense now.
Come Away Melinda might remind you of the Moody Blues because both used the Mellotron up front in the mix. It's that crusty strings and flute sound.
They used to rehearse in a studio where Deep Purple rehearsed. Blackmore's Night (WHICH YOU REALLY ARE OVERLOOKING) covered Lady in Black
Nick reacted to Tears in my Eyes in another of my marathon requests, one of my favorite tracks!
@@rudolfbecker4313 I wouldn't dream of doing that to you my brother...lol! I'm sure to have some great tunes coming our way.
@@greybeard2280 thank you my brother .... I can relaxed await your marathon 😁
Please, choose Uriah Heep - Salisbury the title track off SALISBURY ha ha.
More Heep please. 'If I Had The Time', 'One Day', 'Circle Of Hands' (live album) please? My favorite band. Thank You!
The horns became a popular add and became a part of bands like Lighthouse, Blood Sweat& Tears , the Ides of March , Chicago for a few
This was really good, I had never heard of Lighthouse & didn't know any Uriah Heep song name. We are finally getting the Pre-Spain recording! 😀
Another great Lighthouse song is "Beneath My Woman"
Exactly what I did, "What does Uriah Heep sound like?" Click. Great.
Great job guys. I hope you are getting better. Take your time and try to relax. Missed you. Cheers 😎👍🍁
Niknlex welcome to 70s British Rock we ruled the world of music 🌎
That Lighthouse song was lying dormant in the very back-est reaches of my tiny brain. But once the verse hit, I was like OH YEAH I remember this! It's a great song. It reminds me a bit of Vehicle by Ides of March.
Mick Box , the genius of UH and only original member never considered the band as metal. he always describes it as melodic rock
Roger Dean did at least 2 album covers. Demons & Wizards and Magician's Birthday
In 1968, Lighthouse was supposed to be Toronto's answer to New York's Blood Sweat And Tears. Then Chicago came out a year later.
Excellent Lyrics, young girl sees a picture of her mother whom see never met...
Rush came later.I saw the Return to Fantasy tour with John Wetton on bass in 75.Heep at their best
Lighthouse was another great Canadian band. My former next door neighbor's brother was one of the bass players. He may have played on this album or started on the next one, not sure.
If i had the time from Sweet Freedom. Just like heaven. Box is in a world of his own. ♥️♥️♥️
Gettin' back in da groove!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Yee-Haaaaaaaa!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Ice reactions glad you are back. 😎😎😎
Can I make a request? I would love to see you highlight ELPs Karn Evil 9 1st and 2nd impressions from “Brain Salad Surgery.” Thank you for your consideration. I love your channel. Have a wonderful day guys.
Thanks for this!
IMHO, Salisbury is their best album. The four songs on the first side are awesome. Their order is perfect. The Park is my favorite Uriah Heep song. Check it out.
'Ahhhh, My Ear Drums Are Bleeding!!!!!!!!!' 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
You should give the group Chase a listen. Similar sound as Lighthouse but heavier. Lots of horns fuzing jazz and rock. Their single was Open Up Wide.
FANTÁSTICO....U H !!!!!
David Byron was King Diamond favorite singer. He named his son Byron 😉
Funny you should mention King Diamond. David Byron, Heep’s singer, is King’s favorite singer (mine too incidentally). I think he even named his son after David.
YAY! Major Dude and Major Dudette!!!!!
John Wetton on Bass on 'Such a Beautiful Dream' (Same John Wetton in King Crimson, U.K. and Asia)
What a band
HEEEEE PORFINNNNNN QUE GRANDE AGUANTE NICKNLEXXXXXXX 🇦🇷🇦🇷🇦🇷🇦🇷🇦🇷🇦🇷💪
Thanks!
Keep up the good work
Come Away Melinda, an anti-war ballad.
Would be fun if you could react to Heep's entire 'Salisbury'-album.
aber bitte ohne Lady in Black 😆
,... BRUDER, L I B ist eine HYMNE ~ begehe bitte keine Sünde 😮😢!!! BERNDI AUS NBG 😊
Lighthouse reminiscent of Blood Sweat & Tears doing Spinning Wheel
Need to hear "MAGICIANS BIRTHDAY" + Tales from short story written by them
If I had to pick "the one" Heep song, it would be Magicians Birthday. For me personally the best among many great songs
I almost picked Tales AND Magician's Birthday. So many to choose from but those are my 2 favorites from that album.
Also you guys are beautiful people
Lighthouse = the Canadian Chicago!! sort of...lol
The first two albums are not my fav's and I only really like Gypsy and Lady in Black.
But after that I like all the albums up to and including 'High and Mighty'
The Demons and Wizards album will probably always be my favorite UH album.
My fav line up is Box, Hensley, Byron, Kerslake and Thain followed by Box, Hensley, Byron, Kerslake and Wetton
The 'Look at Yourself' album is when UH really started getting noticed and more popular.
PS : Alexia wins the T-shirt contest 😂 red is my favourite colour and flowers look better than just letters ...😉👍
looks that way because roger dean did a few of the covers
Another good Lighthouse tune is Sunny Days.
The only other group that has so much versatility in styles was "The Sweet". Nope just one Lead Singer.
Rocken great
🖤🖤
Pretty much stopped listening to Uriah Heep after the line up of Box, Hensley, Byron, Keslake and Wetton. Been curious about the 'Firefly' album, but never listened to it.
Ken Hensley just died not too long ago. Although he played keyboards he also played Slide Guitar even though Bick Box is the main guitarist. Ken Hensley is very underrated Slide Guitarist..
Lighthouse is kinda like the Canadian Chicago
You should listen to the band Audience, the song House on the hill.
