This Song always Makes me Cry…the seventies: the best Music ! Uriah heep, Genesis, Deep Purple, yes, led Zeppelin , UFO, scorpions, ….so much music for the Heart…not only Rock-n-roll…Not only Party…i Love it…great feeling, Soul and warmth….
I love the way you describe Uriah heep. You said their a heep of perfection awsome. Uriah means God is light. Try song off of sweet freedom it's called pilgrim
Faith, this was the first of many ballads that you will enjoy. Heep always has one on a album, sometimes two. Some favourites on mine are: Rain, If I had the Time, Lady in Black, Illusion, The Dance, Waters Flowin'. There are many more. Enjoy!
R.I.P. David Byron, Gary Thain, Ken Hensley, Lee Kerslake, John Lawton, John Wetton, Trevor Bolder... Mick Box, Paul Newton... Still Alive... and Still Played... URIAH HEEP FOREVER!!
They are criminally underrated. One of the best singers of rock. One of the best bassists. A multi-talented keyboardist/guitarist/singer/songwriter. I think this song is actually a cover but they do it so well, and David’s singing is as good as good can get.
Ok, I'll ask that you give Heep's keyboardist (etc.) a listen from his last album, made shortly B4 his death. The song is "Suddenly". Best bet is to watch & listen to the vid with just a still of Hensley looking "pensive"? The official version features a breakup with a partner and is just too... distracting, when what the song is really about is "suddenly" realizing you are getting to the end of a fairly long life, and the answer Ken found to that. Ken is NOT a Byron level vocalist, he has said he's not really a great keys player, and so on. Yet "Suddenly" is just about as good as it gets. And I'll ask one and all, what musician in his 70's has created such music?
