Other engines worth collecting, IMHO, include the AMG 6.2L V8, Audi’s 5.2L V10 and Turbo 2.5L 5-cyl, at least amongst the relatively mass produced units. I’m sure there are others as well.
I thoroughly enjoy watching Henry’s automotive reviews. There’s a few auto journalists that I can’t stand to watch no matter what car they’re reviewing but Henry Catchpole does a great job reviewing even boring cars.
@@skitzbros2678 Mates dad has one, says great engine but absolutely peasant spec interior both in terms of quality and options compared to say an M5 oe E63
According to the trip computer mine did 29.3 mpg going up the M5 from Devon to the Midlands. Set the 70 mph limiter because I see so many radar vans on the M5 bridges. The lowest I ever got for a journey was 11 mpg, but that was having a bit of fun on the way! My previous car was an old XJ 3.2 which never managed more than 27mpg on a run. I am well pleased with my purchase.
It used to be cheaper than the Glc 63 s amg, now they are on par. Definitely one of the best sports SUV out there. That burble from the exhaust is mind blowing. The previous generation is a steal now for the half the price. Great review.
God. I fell in love with the f pace svr when I first heard one. Such an orgasmic sound. I was at a private car event for the rich. I did manage to sneak in. Best day of my life. One day maybe. I’ll have one. For now am 18 and saving up for a Mustang 😅. Hopefully in 6 years. Then I’ll go for a Porsche. Then this baby.
The Project 8 transmission is a game changer - completely different experience from my 2020 SVR; super happy I now have the facelift! The brake feel is also significantly improved. As are the pops and bangs from the exhaust…if you disable the new valve logic 😉
@@MW_1420 I’ve tried a hundred times to slyly write a link in the comments but RUclips always figures it out and deletes them lol. Just google how to permanently deactivate the exhaust valves. Can either unplug the electrical connection to the valves with the flaps open (ignition to accessory mode and press exhaust button) or somebody recently figured out there’s a purple module connector that can be disconnected.
Not enough content on the new F-Pace SVR! Thank you very much, slightly annoyed because we have the 2020 version and this one just looks a lot better but oh well
I just test drove this facelift SVR to compare against my 2020. Other than being very muted at slow speeds (same exhaust tone though thankfully at higher speed and revs) it’s a massive improvement and I’m very happy I have this new one on order! Transmission is way better, brake feel is massively improved, interior is night and day, infotainment system is iPad-esque instant, ride is better...it’s a completely different automobile from my 2020. Too bad you can’t make the exhaust snarl in parking lots anymore at 10kph though haha.
Press the exhaust button without starting the engine and remove the exhaust valve connectors, you will have new svr with old svr sound. Trust me, because I have one 2022 model
@@sarbjitsingh4722 Yea that was the first thing I did when I got it home a year ago haha. Well, just disconnected the electrical connector so it’s stuck open all the time. My poor neighbours at 6:45am every day…
Yet I can’t even get a 6 in a new XF. I’m on the Jaguar Advisory Board but we’re not being heard. I’m so frustrated with the company right now and holding on dearly to my 2016 R-Sport
Everyone complains about Jaguar's reliability but they're one of the only mainstream automotive manufactures with a soul left. German brands are so sterile now.
Brilliant review. Sadly overshadowed by the Range Rover SVR. That said surely an Audi SQ7 or BMW X3 M Sport makes for more sense? And more reliable? Re-sale values too. Carfection is the best produced car channel on You Tube. Thank you.
You say Jaguar will be fully electric by 2025. I would like to know how an electric Jag will get me from Calgary to Las Vegas, a trip I do every year, in two days. This is a 2,096km. I can't see how I could do that in a electric car in the same time as a petrol car!
Sounds fantastic. Given the dubious stying of the new M3...as an F80M3 driver now getting on in years the X3m with 503bhp is now on the list of possible replacements. How would it compare to this?
I really hope they’ve thought this 2025 timeline through. I’ve just ordered an xDrive M340i and will only go pure EV when I have no other choice whatsoever. I can only assume Jaguar KNOW that there will be enough people willing to drop £40k plus on cooking models and/or don’t care about the enthusiast market. Just worried they’ve gone too soon.
I love EVs and I welcome our new 800-volt overlords but I will miss cars as living creatures, watching the exhaust pipes move with throttle, hearing hot metal ping, feeling heat coming off the engine.
What a shame that we will eventually stop hearing these engine notes as cars that burn precious minerals replace those burning fossil fuels. Sad indeed.
how on god's green earth does a British car journalist on a British car channel get his hands on a British car on British number plates and the car is left hand drive??? dafuq??? how is that even possible??? O.o
Many years ago I bought the 'new' XK8 that was much much cheaper than the Aston DB7 ... seems the same applies here, 80K less than the DBX .. no brainer for me .
It’s really strange that a British company (yes I know Tata owns it but you know) has a car being reviewed in the UK and it’s got the steering wheel on the wrong side…it always seems to be Jaguar in many of their reviews that they provide LHD cars to the journos… I wonder why that’s the case. I’ve noticed this over the last couple of years on a few reviews 🤔
I'd like to see a comparison of a car like this v something like a Civic Type R just to see how much the Jag hides it's weight and to see which one is more fun to drive. It's an SVR but I just can't believe that it hides it's weight that well along a twisty road.
The F-pace SVR has been the unsung gem of this class for awhile now, and the faclift proves that even more.
so great to see Jag back on form with their designs!

I agree!
If they put the same exhaust from the range rover sport, that would just make it perfect for me
Yeahh nice sound

Yep, great video.
But Project 8 - is a XE, not a stripped off XF
