@@GabbyRamalSpearfishing Ganoon ba?

The best alternative of the fiberglass rebar is coconut lumber, cut a strip of it 1"x1"x5' make all corners round, sand it smoothly that no sharp tips would raise up sand it with grit 100 sandpaper then finish it up with three coats of liquid marine epoxy. When the epoxy coat is cured, slightly roughen it up with grit 120 sandpaper as final touch only to eliminate a smooth surface, it'll become slippery to your grip underwater if you ain't sand the smooth surface.
In fact I don't sell online because of custom law, You could pay more than the price of the unit in the custom, I just bring it each time I got vacation then send it via DHL if the buyer is unable to fetch it up in Manila, in this case the buyer is the one to pay the shipping via DHL.
Why are they so short? Most commercial made ones are 6ft min. Also, if you've had good luck w/ using soap to lubricate the string in the rubber, cool, but most soaps sold in the U.S. are filled with petroleum products. Petroleum rots rubber seriously diminishing its lifespan. It's also been argued that sharpening the prongs with only a single bevel toward the inside will cause them to spread apart upon contact with the fish. Coupled with the corrosion (not using stainless) holds the game on the spear better. I've never noticed. Any thoughts or opinions?
We used to make a 3ft. long pole spear for close distance shots, especially when the target is in the cave, and a long one like more than 3ft. is hard to maneuver. When it comes to the soap as a lubricant it was I'm still using till now and my rubber seems don't get any rots most of them 4 years of age still good, maybe I just used a non-petroleum soap, and I agree with you, not stainless prong gets corroded in a matter of hours after diving so we had to soak it down to freshwater for the whole night then apply engine oil upon it, the reason I recommend hard metal instead of using stainless is that its resistance against the rock or hard corals is the matter most in the duration of the diving. When it is stainless just a few shots it dulls, lots of slip and waste shots follow. About angle sharpening of the tips, I'm doing it only on pole spear because it is way easier to do than the rounded one, and it does not travel with much velocity as it was in the speargun, and I agree with you that does not create a good impact on speargun because of the velocity matter. Thank you so much my brother for watching my humble video.

👍 🔱
can you make one for me and if done tell so i can take it? im in marshall island too.
Sure brother, but not at this time, I'm in the outer Island, when I get back to Majuro you can surely get one if you're still interested.
Where do you get fiberglass rebar?
From a construction company who're doing housing project on Island to island here in the Marshall Islands.
What other pole can I use to make one of those?
The best alternative of the fiberglass rebar is coconut lumber, cut a strip of it 1"x1"x5' make all corners round, sand it smoothly that no sharp tips would raise up sand it with grit 100 sandpaper then finish it up with three coats of liquid marine epoxy.

@@FreeDiver736MH ahh sge2 bro maraming salamat
Question why stainless steel prong is not ok to use?
Because it's very soft and easy bent when hit the rock, often times its tips dulls in few minutes.
Why not stainless?
Great video 😅😂 can u make a homemade speargun
