      @@shan5445 No, but not necessarily because of the digital aspect (ie. using VST vs real Lexicon unit). Mostly because with the jump into the digital realm and DAWs, we lost a lot of the more dynamic "magic" happening in a studio (riding the faders as a human recording engineer, is now usually far more predictable and rigid automation curves, playing a synth live and recording it is now usually sequenced MIDI, and so on).

      @@foljs5858music sounds better that ever, synths are more complex than ever just as automation, listen to Aurora or Remi Wolf, panning is richer and more complex than ever. It’s just nostalgia talking, art and technology evolves, it’s just nonsense denying newer artists just because we love old ones too
      Here’s a tip, you can like Michael Jackson (just an example of an old legend) AND new artists too

    I miss that beast! Actually both those beasts!! Mind you, I also miss the plates we had in the basement, and the remote that controlled the motor! Maybe I am just old....

    I am fortunate to have learned that at SAE Munich. We have a old G series SSL and a lexicon reverb. Feels different to using a plugin 😜👍

    I use to work at Platinum Sound Studio in NYC back in 2003. I had a chance to hear this beauty. Very sweet sound.

    That lexicon remote is a beautiful piece of retro technology. I wish someone would make a controller just like it.

    I have Softtube”s version of the 106, Arturia’s lexicon and Lindell’s SSL. All three on sale for less than $200 combined. And it sounds the same. We are living in amazing times right now.

    Cool to see the actual unit after using ReLabs plugin so much. By the way I hear that’s the best plugin version and I’m really satisfied with it myself

      It’s not the actual unit, it’s the remote. The reverb itself is a hefty piece sitting in a rack. But it’s not much to look at.

    The LX480 plug in is pretty awesome. It comes in full or light versions.

      The Juno goes to two mono channels and these are panned hard left and right :)

    I dont understand why anyone would still be using analog gear...I hear absolutely no difference between analog produced music and digital.

      Have you ever used good analog gear ? Even thought you can do a great mix all in the box there’s still a different character on the analog stuff, glad we can use both

      @@RobRuffMusic haha ! Also what you should really look to is what some plugins can do to your stereo Image, some of them really destroy it. If you compare the Maag eq4 plugin version to the analog one you’ll see the difference
