A beautiful piece. I like the build-up: The happy melody in the beginning, then the darker undertones from the oud. . Waiting for the clarinet to set in, I imagined it might mediate between the kanun and the oud, but it decided to wail along (beautifully, though). The sound of the kanun is captured beautifully. The oud could sound a little louder. And the clarinet recording should give the instrument more presence.
