Saw DBT IN SF... with the most incredible man, I am so Thankful I got to do all the things we did. Wish you were here. That day at the Burning Man, we played this song so loud and danced , the magic between us was once in a lifetime. I remember your dark eyes in the sand ... TB & CK 03 BLACK ROCK CITY
This one still punches a hole right through to my soul or what's left of it, fucking emotional power stronger than TNT and that's a goddamn fact. Purejoy thank you I might say this is the most underrated band of all time which is the fucking sad State of Affairs
Still fucking love this band. Happy for all there/their success. Thanks thank you all. music is all u need , other than va j j . Again pure joy , thanx!!
Enjoy DBT altering the same version of songs... almost like a new release. Of course, they could release cats screeching and I would love it.. so I'm probably not the right guy to ask
I hate the fact that since Patterson dismissed John Neff, nobody has played pedal steel in the band since. I saw them with John and he is an incredible player.
They were great with John, they were great with Jason, they have always been great and still are. Whatever lineup they have, I will still go and see them.
Has Pete Townshend ever heard this song (The Living Bubba)? Believe, Pete would love it... either way would love to watch, Townshend listen to the song and witness his reaction.
Finest tribute ever to a dying artist.
RIP Gregory Dean Smalley "Bubba"
It's impossible to argue against this song. It's there because we need a little humanity in our music

This is the saddest song that DBT ever wrote IMO. Love it. So much emotion here.

The perfect song, it gets no better.
It is a powerful metaphor about life. I hope they play it at their Columbia gig next Sunday.
I'm super southern and play guitar this by far my favorite to sing thank drive by truckers for this song

Does anyone know is this song about someone the band knows or knew?
Yes
It's written about Gregory Dean Smalley
Greg Smalley died from HIV / AIDS- he was a local musician. True story here.
RIP Greg.
🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Not the same, but awesome... awesome
Not the same lacking pedal steel.
the organ fills it in
