I m from India and would like to say Golden Triangle thing is quite overrated. I would suggest you to visit Himalayan states, South India or Udaipur, Jodhpur cities in Rajasthan.😊

Golden triangle is overrated af.If you want to experience the real India you should go to the country side and the less explored places otherwise you will always remember India as overcrowded, noisy and unclean places.

Correcting your understanding on major infrastructure development in india. It is south and western india which has most development and revenue generation. South has most English speakers. Almost every person speaks English in South india. Advise you to visit kerala once to see the best of the nature.

Idiots of South India never stops amusing me. Are you talking about dirty south india? What is wrong with you? What infrastructure you have in south india? not even proper roads, forget about metro.

This is best things to do near Delhi. This is actually Delhi's and surrounding areas golden triangle tour not India's Golden Triangle tour. Supporting fact - India's total length of road network 66.71 lakhs KM and supposed India's golden triangle road network length 770 KM.

I am from Delhi. You did a great trip. Going with a guide to all the historic places and even a guided food tour... was the best decision.
Plus you went to karauli. Not many ppl know of karauli palace
With short time, one should not cut cost of accommodation and food.
Otherwise it can be overwhelming. I always take my friends for guided food tours. If you have an indian friend good, or else take a guide.
Next time you can plan on other intetesting places. Tiger reserves, himalayas, beaches, other cities... there is more.
But as first trip it was a very good trip for you... and you were happy with the experience with great memories. Superb.
One tip I always give to travellers and tourists... "Go slow".
The essense of India is - take it easy. Everything will happen at it's own time and pace. Don't rush.
and don't try to go for dirt cheap options in accommodation and food. Your physical safety and health is most important while travelling.
May you have more opportunities to travel to India and vist more places...
    😊

I am Indian,I will say in India golden triangle is overrated,u like Jaipur the most I can guarantee

In my opinion, and I say this from personal experience, the Golden Triangle is much better to do it on your own than to do it on a tour, due to the enormous amount of dissatisfaction that a tour leaves behind.

Today, the large amount of information available in all media is much more accurate and valuable than the contribution of many guides.
