Massive is the main studio behind the Division series of games, which are 3rd person tactical looter-shooters. I have always liked them so seeing them do a Star Wars game is really awesome to see!
They are also doing the Avatar game right now. In the past, they also did Far Cry 3, which is for many people still the best in the series. Before that, they did RTS games with the Ground Control and World in Conflict series.
Massive is known for the excellent RTS game World in Conflict. Although that was before Ubisoft bought them outright. They belonged to ActiBlizzard via Vivendi at that time.
I always love your enthusiasm, Kyle. The world-building looks great, inspiring, and promising. It truly looks like the right team of creative people are working on this project. This particular story taking place in the period between TESB and ROTJ, makes this a perfect piece to experience in The SWU, while watching other stories like, Star Wars: Rebels, Andor, JEDI: Survivor, SW: Hunters, and The Mandoverse unfold. Like you, I'm hoping to see some parallels, correlations, and name-checking within this expansive game...I'd love to see some of the bounty hunters of the era get some screentime...if neither Boba Fett, Din Djarin, the children of Skeleton Crew, members of The Acolytes Of The Beyond, nor Doctor Aphra can, I want Kay Vess to discover the shrine to Lord Darth Vader on Tatooine...creepy stuff. I have to say, I'm already wondering about a live-action portrayal of Kay Vess by Humberly Gonzalez, since about 80% of her likeness was used to create the video character. I am really intrigued to find out the name and derivation of this brand new crime syndicate that materializes in The Outer Rim...I wonder what the other well-known, ensconced crime lords and The (mounting) Pirate Nation have to say about its existence? May The Force Be With You, Master Katarn.
Yeah, but the "fans" have already started lining up their reasons for hating it; The company, the era, the main character, the cute companion, "too many females", etc. Who cares how much work went into it? How much attention to detail from the original Star Wars sources? WE MUST BE JUSTIFIED IN OUR HATRED!!!!!! Sheesh.
Wait, people are complaining about the era?! How? It's the height of the Galactic Civil War! What's not to be excited about? From what I've seen, my only wish is that we had character options; not because I dislike the actual main character, I just am a big fan of customization and character creation over getting just one option. But that's really a minor complaint, and everything else looks ridiculously fun and immersive.
@@Spectralyzed The main complaints I hear are that the Galactic Civil War is already extensively covered in Star Wars (which is kind of true). People would like to explore something like the Clone Wars or maybe if we're really lucky, the Old Republic Era - something which has yet to be touched upon by Disney.
i have zero faith in ubisoft, this is going to be an unoptimized, bug ridden mess that is filled to the brim with microtransactions. i bet just like with Division and Watch Dogs this game will look nothing like what weve seen in the heavily scripted "gameplay"
@@Nico.S298so you’re going to miss out on a potentially great game because your digital avatar doesn’t have a swinging dick? You must miss so many different cool things.

@@KyleKatarnChanneltrust me it’s amazing especially considering we just got through a pandemic of our own I’m surprised Directive 51 wasn’t initiated
So excited for this game!!
Gonna be a great game
Speaking of ND-5. The number of people I've seen thirsting over that droid. It's actually kinda entertaining.
I'm incredibly excited for this game.
Thanks, Kyle! 🎬 #KyleKatarn #StarWars #StarWarsOutlaws #BehindTheScenes
Another amazing video
Look at the GRAPHICS, almost real life,
“That’s what makes it star wars.” - Everyone.

Can’t wait for this one!!
Massive did The Division and The Division 2

This game looks more amazing the more we learn about it!
Will there be a Dork Forces show this week, Kyle…? 🙂
Man that looks good. Between this and Jedi survivor I really need to get the new X box

It's just a shame that for an open world game we're stuck with a single main character, Kay, without any apparent customization

Woud love to choose between Male and Female. Not everyone wants to play Female Characters
Must be how all the women felt being forced to play as men in The Force Unleashed, Jedi Outcast, Jedi Fallen Order, Jedi Survivor, etc
Why is this so hard to people? Just accept it ffs
@@ThunderhorseMusicMaybe 🤷♂️ . I wish everybody fun with the Game. I cannot reflect myself as a Female character sorry

@@Nico.S298The idea that the main characters in open world games has to be a self-insert is why we have so few good open world games.
